    摘要: An aspirator provides linear control over air flow for manipulation of extruded fibers. A distribution manifold has a barrel valve between first and second flow channels, enabling precise, linear control over air flowing from a charge conduit to a pressure chamber surrounding a discharge pipe. Plural orifices in the discharge pipe connect the pressure chamber to the interior thereof, which is configured as a Venturi tube. Discharge pipe surfaces that can contact filaments therein are of hardened material while non-contact surfaces are of lighter materials.

    摘要: Various embodiments are directed to a yarn analyzer comprising a measurement mechanism configured to monitor the local thickness of the yarn moving along a yarn path. The measurement mechanism comprises a fixed member and a displaceable member between which the yarn path passes. The displaceable member is secured relative to a mechanical amplifier comprising a pivotable lever arm at a first end of the pivotable lever arm at a short distance from the pivot axis of the lever arm, and is biased toward the fixed member. The measurement mechanism further comprises a displacement sensor configured to monitor the displacement of a reference component secured relative to a second end of the lever arm at a long distance from the pivot axis. The monitored movement of the reference component is correlated with the thickness of the yarn, such that the yarn thickness is recorded for the length of yarn.

    摘要: A device for texturizing strand material into a wool-type product includes outer and inner nozzle sections. The outer and inner nozzle sections interface and define a passage through which the strand material travels. A locking device in the inner nozzle section is operable to selectively stop movement of the strand material. The locking device includes a seal holder that positions a sealing member within the inner nozzle section to prevent debris from entering the inner nozzle section, thereby promoting continued effective operation of the locking device. The outer nozzle section includes an end nozzle assembly including a hardened outlet tube. The hardened outlet tube is distinct from the outer nozzle section and, thus, can be repaired or replaced independently of the outer nozzle section.

    摘要: A device for producing interlaced knots in a multifilament thread is described. The device includes a rotating nozzle ring having a circumferential guide groove and a plurality of nozzle bores opening radially into the base of the guide groove. A stationary pressure chamber, having a chamber opening and an air connection, is associated with the nozzle ring, wherein by rotation of the nozzle ring the nozzle bores can be connected in turn to the chamber opening of the pressure chamber. To permit an intensive air treatment of the thread, the dimension of the chamber opening in the pressure chamber and the spacing of adjacent nozzle bores on the nozzle ring are designed such that as the nozzle ring rotates a plurality of nozzle bores are simultaneously connected to the chamber opening.
