    摘要: The invention has for its object to provide an EL phosphor multilayer thin film and EL device which can emit light with improved luminance. This object is achieved by the provision of an EL phosphor multilayer thin film wherein a phosphor thin film and a dielectric thin film are stacked one upon another. The phosphor thin film comprises a matrix material containing as a main component at least one compound selected from an alkaline earth thioaluminate, an alkaline earth thiogallate and an alkaline earth thioindate, and an rare earth element as a luminescent center, and the dielectric thin film comprises an alkaline earth oxide.     摘要: The present invention aims at providing a phosphor thin film capable of realizing a light-emitting device attaining an excellent response, favorable color purity, and emission with a high luminance; and an EL panel including the same. The EL panel including the phosphor thin film of the present invention comprises a substrate, and a lower electrode, an insulating layer, an EL phosphor laminate thin film, and an upper electrode which are successively laminated on the substrate. In the EL phosphor laminate thin film, buffer thin films are formed on both sides of a phosphor thin film comprising a matrix material which is essentially constituted by magnesium gallate and doped with a rare-earth element or the like, and electron injection thin films are further formed on both sides thereof.

Such objects are achieved by a phosphor thin film formed of a matrix material comprising an oxysulfide consisting of at least one compound selected from rare earth thioaluminates, rare earth thiogallates and rare earth thioindates, in which oxygen is incorporated, the matrix material further containing an element serving as a luminescent center, a method for preparing the same, and an EL panel using the same.

    摘要: An EL element 1 comprises EL functional layers 6, 10 comprising Ga2O3:Eu between a thick film insulator layer 16 and an upper electrode 12 provided on a substrate 2 on which a lower electrode 4 was formed and a light-emitting layer 8 comprising MgGa2O4 formed therebetween. The EL functional layers 6, 10 have the dual functions of insulating layers and electron doping layers. Due to this, the EL element 1 has a low drive voltage and high light-emitting brightness, and the structure of the EL element is simplified.

    摘要: A phosphor thin film is provided that has a high luminance, a satisfactory color purity sufficient to eliminate a need for filters, and a long luminance life. The phosphor thin film can be adapted to suit each element of red, green and blue in full color EL panels. The phosphor thin film includes a matrix material and a luminescent center. The matrix material is a sulfide containing at least an alkaline earth element, Ga and/or In, sulfur (S) and optionally, Al, or an oxysulfide further containing oxygen (O) in addition to the foregoing elements. Provided that A stands for the alkaline earth element and B stands for Ga, In and Al in the matrix material, the atomic ratio B/A is in the range: B/A=2.1 to 3.5.
