    摘要: A position detector having a magnetic sensor for measuring linear or angular displacement, or detecting a position of a body without contact thereto. The detector has a closed circuit including magnets and yokes. The magnetic leakage flux which emanates from the inside surfaces of the yokes is utilized to detect the position of the body. The magnetic sensor is transferred along the inside surfaces of the yokes by a transferring circuit, which senses the magnetic field intensity of the leakage flux distributed thereon. This enables the detector to have a longer measuring range than that of a prior art detectors. An output signal is stable due to the shielding effect of the yokes. The magnetic closed circuit has many magnetic and mechanical configurations. For example, for the magnet, a permanent magnet and an electromagnet can be used. Further, improvements are proposed for enhancing the linearity of the output signal voltage with respect to the transferring distance of the sensing element and for compensating the offset drift of an amplifier or changing the coercive force of permanent magnets.

    摘要: An improved coordinates input apparatus for designating a particular set of coordinates in three-dimensional space has a substantially box-like frame, a first magnet, a second magnet, and a plurality of magnetoelectric transducers. The first magnet and second magnet are mounted on the frame and disposed so that sides thereof having identical magnetic poles are disposed opposite each other. The second magnet is disposed so as to be tiltable in response to a disposition of forces acting thereupon. The forces include a repulsive force arising between the first magnet and the second magnet and a pressing force exerted on the second magnet. The plurality of magnetoelectric transducers mounted on the frame opposite the second magnet and output voltage values that vary according to a change in a gap between the magnetoelectric transducers and the second magnet, such that the voltage values indicate a set of X,Y coordinates in two-dimensional space.

One pair of the Hall-effect elements is used for detecting an X coordinate and the other pair of the Hall-effect elements is used for detecting a Y coordinate. When inclined and vertically moved by hand, the operation portion can be displaced in three-dimension. When the operation portion is inclined in any direction, an XY coordinate value can be obtained based on its inclination and inputted into a computer to be displayed on a coordinate space. By using a mean of output voltages of the Hall-effect elements, a Z coordinate value can be obtained and displayed on the coordinate space.

    摘要: A magnetic sensor including a magnetoresistance effect element directed to prevent deterioration in the detection sensitivity occurring due to inversion of the magnetization of a plurality of ferromagnetic thin film stripes forming the magnetoresistance effect element with respect to the initial direction during the repeated operations, the magnetic sensor being arranged in such a manner that the magnetoresistance effect element is disposed at a position deviating from the center of the magnetic pole surface of a cylindrical magnet, preferably at a position deviating in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the magnetic object to be detected is moved. The thus-employed arrangement enables a bias magnetic field to be applied to the magnetoresistance effect element in parallel to the deviation direction. Therefore, the magnetization of all of the plurality of the ferromagnetic thin film stripes forming the magnetoresistance effect element can be caused to face the same direction. As a result, the detection sensitivity can be stabilized because inversion of the magnetization can be prevented even if external magnetic fields are repeatedly applied.
