    摘要： In an electronic camera having a photographic objective lens, a blocking member is disposed in the path of a propagation of a bundle of light rays from an object. The blocking member is adapted to prevent the bundle of rays from impinging on an image pickup device except during a photographic operation. The blocking member is retractable from the path to permit the bundle of rays to be incident on the image pickup device. A photoelectric conversion circuit includes photoelectric conversion elements arranged in the form of a matrix. A charge control circuit controls the amount of charges to be stored in the photoelectric conversion circuit while the blocking member is completely retracted from the path. An image processing circuit produces an image signal based on the amount of stored charges.

    摘要： A camera has a function of recording sounds as well as recording images. In this camera, in a self mode in which photographing is executed using a self timer, sounds are recorded during counting of the self timer and in a usual photographing mode in which no self timer is used, sounds are recorded after completion of the photographing. These two modes are changed over automatically according to a selection of one mode. When a user fails to record sounds in the sound recording operation in this camera, the sounds in correspondence with related recorded images can be recorded again from the beginning by operating a reset means. Further, the recording time can be elongated by operating a means for changing over the recording mode during the sound recording operation.

    摘要： An imaging apparatus of an electronic camera according to the present invention has a lens barrier arranged on an object side of a photographing lens; an imaging device capable of changing electric charge storage time; a lens barrier state-detecting means for outputting a signal indicating an opening state of the lens barrier after detecting the opening state of the lens barrier; a release switch for starting a photographing operation; an imaging device control means for starting electric charge storage of the device when the signal of the opening state of the lens barrier is outputted from the detecting means and for outputting a charge termination signal when the charge is terminated; and a lens barrier opening and closing driving means for driving the lens barrier to open on the basis of a turning-on signal of the release switch and for driving the lens barrier to close on the basis of the charge termination signal outputted from the control means. In this apparatus, by driving the driving means, the lens barrier is opened only during a photographing period, while the lens barrier is closed during a non-photographing period to prevent the device from being exposed to strong outside light.

    摘要： A distance measuring apparatus of the present invention converges the reflected light on objects through a converging lens and detects the light by a multi-divisional photodiode. The multi-divisional photodiode comprises a plural number of light receiving elements so that each of the light receiving elements detects the reflected light from the corresponding object to provide an electric signal according to the quantity of reflected light. The quantity of light in the peripheral portions of the flash or the converging lens is inherently smaller than the quantity of light in the central portion thereof. This distance measuring apparatus is improved so that a constant electric signal is obtained by any of the light receiving elements as far as the distance to the objects is constant. For example, such improvement is made in a manner in which: the quantity of received light of the central portion is limited by a filter provided between the converging lens and the multi-divisional photodiode; the light receiving areas of the light receiving elements are increased in peripheral portions of the multi-divisional photodiode compared with those in the central portion thereof; or the obtained electric signal is electrically corrected.
