    摘要： Provided is an RPR ring network system including: a plurality of RPR station devices; and a ring for interconnecting the plurality of RPR station devices, in which a section between adjacent RPR station devices is defined as a section of the ring, a bandwidth different from bandwidths of other sections are allocated to at least one section, and each of the RPR station devices transmits a frame, in the case of transmitting the frame to the other RPR station device through the ring, by a transmission bandwidth with a minimum value of a bandwidth allocated to a section through which the frame flows set as an upper limit.

    摘要： An Ethernet frame nester nests Ethernet frames addressed to a plurality of remote station devices affiliated with a shared station device on the basis of the correspondence relation between a MAC address of the station device and MAC addresses of the remote station devices stored in a table and the transmission destination addresses of the Ethernet frames. The Ethernet frame nester then converts them into an RPR frame. When receiving an RPR frame addressed to the own station device, an Ethernet frame extractor extracts Ethernet frames from the RPR frame and transmits each Ethernet frame to the addressed remote station devices.

    摘要： An ATM exchange network system in which a first equipment and a second equipment are connected through a duplex communication line comprising a working line and a protection line. In this system, each of the first equipment and second equipment provides: a bridging unit which bridges the working line and the protection line on the transmission side; a switch for selecting the working line or the protection line on the reception side; a K-byte generating function for generating byte information containing information for realizing the APS; a function of receiving the K byte information from the protection line, analyzing the received information, placing the prescribed information in the K byte and realizing the APS; and a function of changing over the switch. Thus, the reliability with respect to a line failure in the ATM exchange network can be improved.
