The control apparatus includes a roller position detection signal generator that generates a detection signal indicating a position of the roller, a roller position detection signal acquisition unit to acquire multiple detection signals in chronological order, a paper thickness calculator to calculate paper thickness based on the multiple detection signals acquired in chronological order, and a vibration detector to detect vibration of the image forming apparatus based on the multiple detection signals acquired in chronological order.

Wherein the insoluble anode is a thin plate insoluble metal electrode provided with a conductive electrode material coating layer on a surface of a substrate made of a corrosion-resistant material, and detachably mounted to an electrode base by using predetermined fixing means, and the conductive electrode material coating layer of the thin plate insoluble metal electrode is provided with a conductive electrode material stripped belt in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the cathode, and the fixing means is provided in the conductive electrode material stripped belt.

摘要： A thermoelectric conversion element converts thermal energy of a user into electric power. A holding unit holds the electric power converted by the thermoelectric conversion element, and outputs the electric power. A switching unit switches between a first mode in which electric power is supplied to all units of an image forming apparatus and a second mode in which electric power is supplied to a part of units of the image forming apparatus. When the image forming apparatus is in the second mode, the switching unit switches from the second mode to the first mode upon receiving the electric power output from the holding unit.

摘要： A hologram recording device, which comprises a recording layer of a polymer composition a photoconductive element, a second-order super-polarization element and an electron or hole capturing material and having a non-centro symmetric structure is disclosed. Transparent electrode layers are provided on each side of the recording layer. The hologram recording device is capable of space light modulation and real time hologram recording. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the hologram recording device and a method of hologram recording using the device. The hologram recording material is of a polymer composition a photoconductive element, a second-order super-polarization element and an electron or hole capturing element. The polymer composition has a non-centro symmetric structure. The hologram recording device according to the invention comprises a recording layer of a polymer composition including a photoconductive element and a second-order super-polarization element. The polymer composition has a non-centro symmetric structure, and transparent electrodes are provided on each side of the recording layer. It is thus possible to provide a hologram recording element, which is suitable for space light modulation and real time hologram recording and which also serves as a phase conjugate device.

摘要： In a transfer device, a first side of a flexible guide plate faces to a recording medium being conveyed along a medium conveyance path to guide the recording medium toward an image carrying member. A support frame supports an upstream end portion of the guide plate, and includes an opposite portion disposed from and opposite to a second side (reverse to the first side) of the guide plate and a rib configured to protrude from the opposite portion toward the medium conveyance path. The rib has a first edge which is positioned at an upstream side and beyond which the guide plate protrudes downstream. The rib has an inclined surface extending from the first edge in a direction obliquely downstream toward the image carrying member. The guide plate includes an indentation to allow the guide plate to be deflected without being blocked by the rib.

摘要： A display control unit performs a control of displaying first image information on a display unit. An electric-power supply unit converts thermal energy generated from a body temperature of a user into electric power upon the user contacting the electric-power supply unit, and supplies the electric power to the display control unit. A determination unit determines whether the user is in contact with the electric-power supply unit. When it is determined that the user is not in contact with the electric-power supply unit, the display control unit performs a control of rewriting the first image information displayed on the display unit with second image information.
