Disclosed is a novel carcinostatic composition comprising 4,6-0-benzylidene-D-glucopyranose as the active ingredient. This active ingredient exerts a very high carcinostatic activity according to a specific carcinostatic mechanism quite different from that of conventional carcinostatic chemotherapeutic agents. The active ingredient is very low in toxicity and is highly stable and water-soluble. This composition is effective against selected malignant conditions which are carcinoma of the colon, cancer of the stomach, cancer of the tongue, peritonitis carcinomatosa, cancer of the liver and malignancies induced by SV.sub.40 virus.

Provided is a solar cell module that can be reduced in thickness and weight, is applicable to a curve shape, and can be applied to an exterior material of a vehicle. The solar cell module (1) includes a front surface cover member (2) provided on a side into which sunbeam enters, a rear surface cover member (3) provided on a side opposite to the side into which sunbeam enters to face the front surface cover member, and a solar cell (4) provided between the front surface cover member (2) and the rear surface cover member (3). The front surface cover member (2) and the rear surface cover member (3) are each formed of a glass filler-containing thermoplastic resin molded product, and the front surface cover member (2) has a parallel light transmittance of 65% or more and a haze of less than 30%. The glass filler-containing thermoplastic resin molded product has a linear expansion coefficient of preferably 3.0 to 6.0 (×10−5/° C.).

A glass filler for a polycarbonate resin, whereby the refractive index of the glass filler can be improved to the same level as a polycarbonate resin, and the transparency of a molded product after reinforced with such a filler can be maintained without coloration, and a polycarbonate resin composition employing such a filler, are provided. The polycarbonate resin composition comprises a polycarbonate resin and a glass filler which comprises, as inorganic components in the entire glass filler, from 50 to 60 mass % of silicon dioxide (SiO2), from 7 to 15 mass % of aluminum oxide (Al2O3), from 10 to 20 mass % of calcium oxide (CaO), from 0 to 5 mass % of magnesium oxide (MgO), from 2 to 8 masse of zirconium is oxide (ZrO2), from 0 to 10 mass % of zinc oxide (ZnO), from 0 to 10 mass % of strontium oxide (SrO), from 0 to 18 mass % of barium oxide (BaO), from 0 to 2 mass % of lithium oxide (Li2O), from 0 to 2 mass % of sodium oxide (Na2O), and from 0 to 2 mass % of potassium oxide (K2O), provided that the total content of the lithium oxide (Li2O), the sodium oxide (Na2O) and the potassium oxide (K2O) is from 0 to 2 mass % based on the entire glass filler.
