摘要： The DC motor of the starter includes first and second field coils, an armature coil series-connected to one ends of the first and second field coils through a brush device, a connector bar to which other ends of the first and second field coils are connected, a motor lead joined to a joint point of the connector bar at one end thereof, and an electromagnetic switch operative to connect the other end of the motor lead to a battery. The connector bar is made of steel, the other end of the first field coil is connected to a first connection point in the connector bar, and the other end of the second field coil is connected to a second connection point. The distance between the joint point and the second connection point is longer than a distance between the joint point and the first connection point.

摘要： A starter for automotive engines is provided which is equipped with a planetary gear train working as a speed reducer. The starter also includes a partition plate and a thrust washer. The partition plate extends radially of the starter between an electric motor and a planetary gear train to isolate the planetary gear train from a motor chamber. The thrust washer extends radially of the starter in abutment with the partition plate so as to bear a thrust load, as transmitted from the planetary gear train. The thrust washer also includes an outer peripheral portion which is placed between a rear end surface of an internal gear of the planetary gear train and the front end surface of the partition plate and has an elastic mechanism working to elastically urge the internal gear of the planetary gear train frontward in the axial direction of the starter.

摘要： In a starter, a motor terminal is composed of a rigid body made of metal, supported by a grommet, and welded to a connection bar in order to construct a terminal assemble (ass'y). The terminal assemble is constructed into a yoke assemble under the grommet is attached to an opening part of the yoke and the connection bar is welded to an end part of a field coil. An interval between a sealing surface of the grommet and the motor terminal in the yoke assembly, namely before constructing the yoke assembly is smaller than an interval between in the terminal assembly, namely, before constructing the yoke assembly. The grommet has thereby a water proof capability because the grommet is pressed not only the end frame side but also toward the yoke side through the motor terminal when the grommet between the yoke assembly and the end frame is fastened or compressed by through-bolts.

摘要： A battery pack is disclosed. The battery pack includes angular-shaped battery cells stacked in a stack direction and a battery holder device. The battery holder device presses side surfaces of the battery cells with a load acting along the stack direction. The battery holder device integrally includes multiple surface pressing members each interposed between adjacent battery cells and multiple connection members each connecting adjacent surface pressing members. Rigidity of each connection member against the load acting along the stack direction is smaller than rigidity of each surface pressing member against the load acing along the stack direction.
