The determination unit obtains the count value by counting a number of normals having the same direction at an assembly location of the constituent component, a constrained degree of translational freedom in the normal direction, and a constrained degree of rotational freedom about an axis perpendicular to the normal based on the assembly definition and the degree of freedom of the constituent component. The apparatus also includes an output unit that outputs the datum type determined by the determination unit.

The present invention aims at surely and efficiently calculating size tolerances of a plurality of parts constituting a structure with the configuration that includes a tentative size tolerance setting section setting tentative size tolerances of the plurality of parts based on design data of the structure and part information of the plurality of parts; a primary analyzing section calculating a quality of the structure and sensitivities of the plurality of parts based on the tentative size tolerances set by the tentative size tolerance setting section; a judging section judging whether or not the quality satisfies a desired quality which the structure demands; and a secondary analyzing section calculating, if the judging section judges that the quality does not satisfy the desired quality, the size tolerances of the plurality of parts using the sensitivities such that the structure satisfies the desired quality.

A toner developing quantity correction unit detects toner developing quantities per unit area of color toners on the basis of detection signals of the color component toner marks on the belt optically detected by a sensor. The toner developing quantity correction unit corrects the toner developing quantities so as to allow the toner consuming quantities of the plurality of electrostatic recording units to be substantially the same level, on the basis of the thus detected toner developing quantities.

It is an object of the present invention to reduce setting errors of the degrees of freedom in an assembly definition of a component manufactured by a CAD device. In an assembly definition database, a plurality of assembly definition data is registered in advance, each of which includes a name of assembly definition, a definition order, a shape of the definition part, data expressing the degrees of freedom and the like. A determination unit in the CAD device compares shape data of the definition part in the assembly definition data selected by an operator with shape data of the specified set-up part of a component, and determines whether or not they match each other. When the above shape data matches, the degrees of freedom in the assembly definition data is set as the degrees of freedom of the specified part of the component.

In a method for forming a color image by using a contact type nonmagnetic one-component developing device, a flat sheet-like blade made of a metal flexible member and having a distal end thereof chamfered is used inside the developing device in combination with a toner having a glass transition point of 55 to 70° C. and a weight average particle diameter of 6.0 to 10.0 &mgr;m, and containing up to 20 number % of particles having particle diameters of 5 &mgr;m or below, as a developer. The developing device is simple in construction, can provide high image quality and can, moreover, provide a highly reliable image formation method.
