摘要： A method and system for using frequency resources in a communication system are provided. In the method and system, a total frequency band is divided into at least two frequency subbands and there is a guard interval between frequency subbands. A first frequency subband includes a TDD UL frequency subband and a TDD DL frequency subband. A second frequency subband includes an FDD UL frequency subband. A BS sets a frequency band between the TDD UL frequency subband and an FDD UL frequency subband as an additional UL frequency subband, and receives a signal from an MS in the additional UL frequency subband.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for operating a moving network in a mobile communication system are provided. A method of a Base Station (BS) for operating a Moving Network (MN) includes determining an operation mode of the MN in a cell by collecting information of the cell, and transmitting the determined operation mode to the MN. The operation mode includes at least one of an Operation ON mode in which the MN maintains links to Mobile Stations (MSs) in a service coverage area of the MN, and an Operation OFF mode in which the MN turns off the links to the MSs in the service coverage area of the MN.

摘要： An apparatus and a method of a macro terminal for controlling interference in a wireless communication system of a hierarchical cell structure are provided. The method includes setting measurement reporting configuration for a blanking trigger per measurement identifier allocated by a macro base station, measuring a receive signal strength of a neighbor base station, comparing the measured receive signal strength value with a reference receive signal strength value of the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger, and according to a comparison result, transmitting to the macro base station, a measurement report message comprising a measurement identifier corresponding to the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger of a pico base station.

The method includes receiving a signal transmitted by a first terminal through a first connection for direct communication with the first terminal, and measuring received power for the signal, measuring received power for each of interference signals upon receiving the interference signals caused by communication through connections other than the first connection among the plurality of connections, calculating a first Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) using the received power for the signal and the received power for each of interference signals, and determining to one of maintain and release setup for each of the connections other than the first connection, if the first SIR is less than a threshold.

摘要： An apparatus and method for operating a hierarchical cell in a wireless communication system are provided. A femto BS transitions into a sleep mode if there is no accessed MS for a predefined time. The femto BS transmits a FEMTO-ADV message in the sleep mode to notify of the presence of the femto BS. The femto BS releases the sleep mode upon receiving a MOB-FEMTO-AWAKE-REQ message from an MS receiving the FEMTO-ADV message. Thereafter, the femto BS communicates with the MS.
