    摘要: A high transmittance brightness enhanced optical element for backlight modules and liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The brightness enhanced polarizing optical element comprises a reflective polarizer film, a phase retardation film, and a polarization enhancement film. The reflective polarizer film provides a function of selectively reflecting right-handness circularly polarized light or left-handness circularly polarized light and will transmit the other one of them. The one was selectively reflected will be recombined with the light source or the backlight and re-direct toward the reflective polarizer. The portions of the reflective light will be recombined with the fresh light from the light source as above and the processes repeatedly. As a result, almost all of the light transmit the reflective polarizer and in the same circular polarization. The light is then transmitted the phase retardation film and converted to a polarized light with another optical axis.

    摘要: A high transmittance brightness enhanced optical element for backlight modules and liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The brightness enhanced polarizing optical element comprises a reflective polarizer film, a phase retardation film, and a polarization enhancement film.     摘要: A solution for fabricating a light diffusing sheet-like device capable of emitting light with superior brightness, that is a high brightness diffuser. The high brightness diffuser mainly includes at least two light diffusing pieces with ridge-shape structure arranged thereon, which can be either convex or concave. The convex ridge-shape structure having a plurality of large convex ridges and a plurality of small convex ridges, which are associated with a ridgeline existing in between two adjacent ridges where the large ridge and small are interlace-arranged, and the ridges along with the associated ridgelines can be longitudinally extended to the same direction. The concave ridge-shape structure is constituted the same way as the convex ridge-shape structure is, but having concave ridges. The high brightness diffuser is fabricated by stacking up the two light diffusing pieces and enabling an included angle to be formed between the two ridge-extending directions of the two light diffusing pieces.

    摘要: The present invention is to provide a solution for fabricating a light diffusing sheet-like device capable of emitting light with superior brightness, that is a high brightness diffuser. The high brightness diffuser mainly comprises at least two light diffusing pieces with ridge-shape structure arranged thereon, which can be either convex or concave. The convex ridge-shape structure is consisted of a plurality of large convex ridges and a plurality of small convex ridges, which are associated with a ridgeline existing in between two adjacent ridges where the large ridge and small ridge are interlace-arranged, and the ridges along with the associated ridgelines can be longitudinally extended to the same direction. Through the embodiment of the present invention, a high brightness diffuser with reduced thickness capable of emitting light of superior brightness and of wide-angle uniformity can be fabricated, and thus can be applied in a rear projection module.

    摘要: A method for fabricating a reflective optical film is provided. A substrate is first provided. Next, a phase retardation film is formed on at least one side of the substrate by means of coating. Afterward, a cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) layer is formed on the phase retardation film by means of coating. Hence, the conventional external bond fabrication process can be simplified. Further, the undesired optical results caused by the more disordered alignment in the upper layer of CLC being more disordered compared to that in the lower layer of CLC and the failure to display the compensation effect can be overcome.

    摘要: An integrated type optical film with a wire grid polarizer structure and a manufacturing method thereof solves the optical matching problem of conventional optical film and integrates an optical effectiveness with all layers by using non-linear optical theory to redistribute integral polarizing efficiency and transmittance in all layers. The integrated type optical film includes two types of polarizers, a reflective type wire grid polarizer and an absorbing type polarizer. The reflective type wire grid polarizer can reflect an incident polarizing light parallel with a metal grid thereof, and transform and transmit polarizing light perpendicular to the polarizer with secondary transmitting efficiency, so that multi-layered structures are integrated into a polarizer with high polarizing efficiency, high transmittance and light-reflective efficiency.
