摘要： An electromagnetic motion sensor includes a base, an electromagnetic induction layer, a block, and an emitting coil. The electromagnetic induction layer with a plurality of induction coils is arranged on the bottom of the base. The block is movably connected to the base by a plurality of elastic members. The emitting coil is fixed to a center of the bottom of the block facing the induction layer. A circuit inside the block provides current to the emitting coil. The block moves with the jerk of the motion sensor when the motion sensor is jerked, causing the elastic members to be distorted. The relative movement between the block and the magnetic induction layer causes more than one of the induction coils generate and output voltage signals according to the change of magnetic flux through the plurality of induction coils caused by the moving of the emitting coil.

摘要： A motion sensing device includes a housing defining a chamber that includes a number of sidewalls. A number of movable members are connected to the sidewalls and able to move toward the sidewalls. Each movable member includes a number of conductive grooves opposing the sidewalls and having a resistance layer. A number of conductive spring members are respectively fixed to the sidewalls and each include a free end movably received in one conductive groove. An inertial weight is movably received in a space defined by the movable members. When the motion sensing device is jerked, the inertial weight moves and is able to apply a pushing force to one of the movable members, causing one of the movable members to move and causing two of the free ends in the same conductive groove to move toward each other.

摘要： A portable electronic device includes a housing, a rotation sensor, and a processor. The rotation sensor includes a supporting plate fixed to the housing, a cylindric carrier, an electron emitting device, a magnet, a number of strip-shaped electrodes, and a detecting device. The cylindric carrier is disposed on the supporting plate and is rotatable relative to the supporting plate. The electron emitting device is disposed on the supporting plate and emits electrons along the center axis of the cylindric carrier. The magnet provides a magnetic field substantially parallel to the supporting plate. The detecting device detects the falling position of the electrons and generates a signal representing the parameters of the rotation of the portable electronic device. The processor receives the signal generated by the detecting device and generates an operating signal for operating the portable electronic device.

摘要： A simulated eye capable of replicating pupil dilation and contraction is provided. The simulated eye includes an eyeball, a simulated pupil, a piston assembly, and a driving device. The eyeball includes a transparent portion. The simulated pupil is viewable at the transparent portion, and is operationally filled with a colored liquid. The piston assembly is in communication with the simulated pupil for accommodating the colored liquid. The driving device is mechanically coupled to the transmission assembly for driving the piston assembly. When the driving device drives the piston assembly, a size of the simulated pupil filled with the colored liquid is changeable, replicating dilation and contraction.

摘要： A mobile phone capable of automatically handling smart card is provided. The phone includes a card holder for holding a smart card. The card holder includes a sheet responsive to magnetic forces. The phone further includes a plurality of electromagnets mounted in a cover of the phone. When the electromagnets are electrified one by one according to a first order, the sheet is attracted by the electromagnets one by one according to the first order, thus the card holder is drawn into the phone. When the electromagnets are electrified one by one according to a second order, the sheet is attracted by the electromagnets one by one according to a second order, thus the card holder is ejected from the phone.

The rear cover tightly covers the opening and defines a through hole. The input device includes a resistor, a wire, a non-conductive rotating plate, and a conducting member. The resistor and the wire both are discontinuous ring-shaped, and concentrically disposed on the rear cover surrounding the through hole. The rotating plate is rotatably inserted through the through hole. The conducting member is disposed on the rotating plate and connects the resistor and the wire. The conducting member is operable to move around the resistor and the wire such that a resistance between one end of the resistor and one end of the wire is changed.
