摘要： A communication method in a mobile communication system in which an access terminal transmits to an access network DRC information indicating a selected one of forward data rates requested by the access terminal is provided. The access network designates a DRC information length DRCLength indicating a number of slots where the DRC information is repeated and transmits the designated DRC information length to the access terminal. The access terminal gates transmission of DRC information to the access terminal at one time slot in every DRC information length received from the access network.

摘要： A method of adapting a mobile telecommunication system to channel conditions. To control transmission of a data packet from an access network (AN) in both a link adaptation scheme and an ARQ (Automatic Repeat reQuest) scheme, an access terminal (AT) compares the received power of a forward pilot signal received from the AN with a predetermined first threshold, checks errors in the data packet of a received time slot if the reception power is greater than the first threshold, and transmits a signal requesting termination of retransmission of the data packet to the AN if no errors are found in the data packet after decoding.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for determining a forward data rate and a forward transmission power level in a mobile communication system. An access terminal measures a C/I of a forward pilot channel, determines a forward data rate by matching the measured C/I with a reference C/I, creates a difference between the measured C/I and the reference C/I as margin information, and transmits the determined forward data rate and margin information over a reverse transmission channel. Upon receipt of the forward data rate and margin information, an access network decreases a transmission power level by power corresponding to the margin information and performs forward transmission at the forward data rate at the decreased transmission power level.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting forward link data to a handoff mobile station in a CDMA communication system. A service sector for the handoff mobile station registers the other sectors in the active set of the handoff mobile station as idle sectors upon request of a data service from the handoff mobile station, and transmits data traffic to the handoff mobile station, while the sectors designated as idle sectors discontinue transmission of data traffic and transition to an idle state.
