    摘要: A fluorescence inspection spectrometer uses a stimulated light beam emitted by a light source, passes through the first collimator, the polarization beam splitter, and the objective lens, and then focuses on a test object to detect the excited fluorescence. Through the first optical filter module, the second collimator, and the reception of the photo detector, the fluorescence is converted into an output signal for fluorescence signal analysis. The feature is that the objective lens is installed on an actuator. More accurate data can be measured by fine-tuning the actuator so that the objective lens reaches its optimal focal position.

    摘要: A method for measuring a surface structure of a near-field object is provided. A light source produces at least a first light beam and a second light beam; guiding the first light beam and the second light beam to enter the SIL for interacting with the object surface. This method can be used in, for example, a near-field optical disc storage system, wherein reflection intensities of the first and second light beams are used to measure two distances between the SIL and the optical disc at two positions corresponding to the first and second light beams. A surface structure, such as a tilt angle or an average distance between the disc and the SIL or disc roughness, is obtained by analyzing the above-mentioned positions and distances. The first and second light beams are produced, for example, by a diffraction technology or by a single laser diode with multiple beams.

    摘要: An optical head to access data on an optical recording medium, which has two data storage densities, includes two sets of optical path systems to provide two optical paths that are crossed. Each optical path system includes a laser light generation unit, a light guiding unit, a converging objective lens and a photo detector. The light guiding unit is located on the optical path of the laser light generation unit, to direct the laser light to pass through the converging objective lens and focus on the data side of the optical recording medium to carry optical data signals from the data side. The laser light returns to the light guiding unit and travels along the optical path and is received by the photo detector.

    摘要: A planar integrated micro-optical pickup head is used to perform reading and writing operations on a high-density disk. The planar integrated micro-optical pickup head includes a set of optical elements that is comprised of a beam splitter, a plurality of 45-degrees-oriented folding mirrors, and two planar collimators. The pickup head further comprises a photo-detector, a laser source for emitting a laser beam of short wavelength, and an objective lens of high value of numerical aperture. The set of optical elements is formed on lower and upper substrates via semiconductor planar fabrication processes, the laser source and the objective lens then are mechanically attached on the lower substrate. The lower and upper substrates are ultimately aligned and attached with each other to achieve the pickup head hence having a reduced size and simply fabricated.
