摘要: A crossbar is provided that is operable to be removably installed in a sled for a modular server and/or information handling system, for example a network equipment building system. The crossbar includes a frame, a keystone portion of the frame forming a keystone air duct, and a riser guide extending from the frame. The keystone portion is operable to direct air flow through the keystone air duct towards a heat sink and/or a CPU. The riser guide is operable to align a riser to be plugged into a motherboard installed in the sled. The frame is operable to be a structural component that is substantially coupled to the sled chassis.

摘要: An apparatus and method are provided to facilitate the cooling of different configurations of cards within a chassis, e.g., a card riser cage. Embodiments disclose telescoping air dams that may be reconfigured to adapt to different combinations of half height and full height cards to fill vacancies in the chassis, hindering the flow of air through those vacancies, thereby redirecting the flow elsewhere and improving the cooling of the cards. By being reconfigurable, embodiments improve the ease that card cages may be reconfigured by reducing the number of parts necessary for such reconfigurations.

摘要: An apparatus provides power for computer devices, such as servers, facilitating their testing outside of the typical server rack. A platform of supports the computer device while providing for a power supply unit beneath the platform to be connected to the device. The location of the power supply beneath the platform decreases the combined footprint of the apparatus and device under test. The power supply unit may be configured to connect to standard voltages, allowing the computer device to be tested where connection to rack-level voltage is not convenient.

摘要: A telescoping rail is provided that may be fitted to a rack from the interior of the rack, and that may be adjusted from the interior to adapt to racks of different depths. The rail includes an outer rail with pins configured to engage a rear rack post. A track in the outer rail is provided with anti-rotational nuts. An inner rail is fastened to the outer rail with screws passing through the inner rail to the anti-rotational nuts. The combined length of the inner and outer rails may be adjusted for the particular cabinet depth by sliding the anti-rotational nuts along the track and the screws tightened. The inner rail may be fastened to a front rack post. A third, moving rail attaches to a device to be housed in the rack, with the moving rail sliding within groves in the inner rail.
