In addition or alternatively, an intelligent reflecting device may include surface elements that are divided into multiple surface element regions. The first node may communicate with the multiple surface element regions independently in order to service the plurality of second nodes.

One example method for wireless communication includes selecting, by a wireless device configured with at least a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM, a primary SIM, performing a measurement of a reference signal configured for the primary SIM to obtain a primary result associated with the primary SIM, and reporting the primary result. Abstract: Techniques are described for signaling in environments including one or more reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). An example wireless communication method includes transmitting, from a network device, a first signal to a subset of reflective elements of a surface comprising a plurality of reflective elements, the first signal being reflected off the surface in at least a first direction toward a wireless device. The method further includes receiving, from the wireless device, a second signal based on the first signal. For example, the first signal can include a reference signal, and the second signal can include a measurement of the reference signal. Based on the signaling, the subset, a different subset, or no subset of reflective elements can be selected for transmission.

Abstract: Presented are systems, methods, apparatuses, or computer-readable media for transmission configuration indicator (TCI) switching using listen before talk (LBT) counters. A wireless communication device in an active TCI switching procedure may receive a physical data shared channel with an activation command. The wireless communication device may determine that a target TCI state is absent from an active TCI state list of the physical data shared channel. The wireless communication device may determine whether the target TCI state is known.
