Abstract: The present disclosure provides a ranging method and a registration method for an optical network, an Optical Line Terminal (OLT), an Optical Network Unit (ONU), and an optical network system. An OLT groups ONUs controlled by the OLT according to receiving optical power values of the ONUs. The OLT allocates corresponding uplink bandwidths to the ONUs in different groups, the uplink bandwidths being used to send registration information by the ONUs to be registered.

Abstract: A method and a device for establishing channels for PON are disclosed. The method is applied to an ONU side and comprises: sending, after receiving a registration message sent from an OLT, a message responding to the registration message to the OLT, wherein the message responding to the registration message includes first parameter information for defining self uniqueness or includes combined information composed of self-first parameter information and second parameter information configured by the OLT, and the first parameter information and the combined information is used for defining a binding relationship for establishing multiple channels with the OLT; and completing the establishment of channels according to a channel use command sent from the OLT, wherein the channel use command comprises multiple pieces of channel identification information allocated by the OLT.

Abstract: A method for implementing a variable optical splitter and a variable optical splitter are provided. The method includes that: the variable optical splitter is divided into one or more virtual optical splitting units according to wavelengths/wavebands of optical signals, wherein the virtual optical splitting units and the wavelengths/wavebands are in a one-to-one correspondence, and moreover, the wavelengths/wavebands and splitting ratios are also in a one-to-one correspondence; and optical guiding or optical splitting is performed on the incident optical signals through the virtual optical splitting units. By adopting the technical solutions provided by the present disclosure, the technical problems that there is yet no optical splitter with a variable splitting ratio in the related technology and the like are solved, and controllability of the splitting ratios of the optical splitter is achieved.

Abstract: A data transmission and reception method and device are provided. The data transmission method includes: determining wavelength channels for data to be transmitted according to received wavelength channel information of an optical network unit (ONU); dividing the data to be transmitted in a sequence according to the number of the wavelength channels to obtain data packets; identifying the data packets according to the division sequence to obtain sequence identifiers of the data packets; and encapsulating the data packets into downstream frames of the wavelength channels in a one-to-one correspondence according to the sequence identifiers of the data packets, and transmitting the downstream frames of the wavelength channels separately to the ONU.
