Abstract: The invention discloses a passive optical network (PON) system and an implementation method thereof. A first transmission channel and a second transmission channel are provided between an optical line terminal (OLT) and an optical network unit (ONU) in the PON system. The method comprises: the ONU transmits data over the first transmission channel; the ONU transmits, over an uplink channel of the second transmission channel, all of uplink management information; or the ONU transmits, over the uplink channel of the second transmission channel, a part of the uplink management information, and transmits, over an uplink channel of the first transmission channel, the remaining uplink management information other than the part of the uplink management information transmitted over the uplink channel of the second transmission channel.

Abstract: Provided are a ranging method and a communication method for an optical network, an Optical Line Terminal (OLT), an Optical Network Unit (ONU), and an optical network system. The OLT sends a broadcast message to the ONU, the broadcast message being used to indicate an uplink bandwidth allocated to the ONU. The OLT opens a quiet window for the ONU in a predetermined region. The OLT receives an uplink signal sent by the ONU at the quiet window.

Abstract: A method and a device for establishing channels for PON are disclosed. The method is applied to an ONU side and comprises: sending, after receiving a registration message sent from an OLT, a message responding to the registration message to the OLT, wherein the message responding to the registration message includes first parameter information for defining self uniqueness or includes combined information composed of self-first parameter information and second parameter information configured by the OLT, and the first parameter information and the combined information is used for defining a binding relationship for establishing multiple channels with the OLT; and completing the establishment of channels according to a channel use command sent from the OLT, wherein the channel use command comprises multiple pieces of channel identification information allocated by the OLT.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for processing service configuration data and apparatus, in the method, it is to obtain a management Internet Protocol (IP) address of a terminal device in which a Small Form-factor Pluggable Optical Network Unit (SFP-ONU) is located; searching for a registered authentication identifier corresponding to the management IP address in a pre-established binding relationship; obtaining service configuration data according to the registered authentication identifier, and distributing the service configuration data to the SFP-ONU, herein the service configuration data is used to start and manage a SFP-ONU service. According to a technical solution provided by the present disclosure, a binding relationship can be established through a management IP address of a terminal device and authentication and configuration data of a SFP-ONU, so that the SFP-ONU can be conveniently managed and a service channel can be automatically opened in existing x-passive optical network (xPON) applications.

Abstract: Provided are wavelength switching and configuration methods and devices for a Passive Optical Network (PON). The switching method includes the following operations. An Optical Network Unit (ONU) responds to a ranging request message sent by an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) on a first uplink wavelength supported by the ONU. The ONU receives ranging information sent by the OLT. The ONU uses the received ranging information as ranging information about a second uplink wavelength of the ONU, and performs data transmission on the second uplink wavelength according to a bandwidth allocation from the OLT. A path transmission time difference caused by a wavelength interval between the first uplink wavelength and the second uplink wavelength is less than a corresponding fault tolerance range when the OLT receives data. The ranging information is obtained by the OLT according to a ranging response sent by the ONU on the first uplink wavelength.
