Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and device for sending a bandwidth request, and a storage medium and an electronic device. The method includes: in a bandwidth allocation acquired by a transmission container, sending a payload and a bandwidth request in sequence to an optical line terminal (OLT), wherein the payload carries first data, the bandwidth request carries a data volume of a second data, and the data volume of the second data is a data volume cached in the transmission container when the bandwidth request is generated.

Abstract: Techniques, apparatus and systems are described for accommodating the optical network units (ONUs) having different nominal upstream bitrates on the same passive optical network (PON) system by making the specified burst preamble and the bandwidth map allocation record format invariant with respect to the nominal upstream bitrate of a target ONU. The disclosed techniques, apparatus and systems allow seamless evolution of the lower-bitrate services to higher-bitrate services offered to an end-user without need to upgrade the central office equipment. In addition they can avoid the adverse consequences of inadvertently connecting a high-upstream-bitrate ONU to a lower-upstream-bitrate network.

The method for opening a quiet window includes that: a first quiet window is opened when it is determined that the first quiet window needs to be opened, wherein the first quiet window is used for Optical Network Unit (ONU) discovery. According to the embodiments of the present application, a first quiet window is opened only when it is determined that the first quiet window needs to be opened, rather than periodically opening the first quiet window, such that the efficiency of the first quiet window is improved and the impact of the first quiet window on a data transmission delay is reduced, thereby reducing a transmission delay of a Passive Optical Network (PON) system.

Abstract: A method and a device for establishing channels for PON are disclosed. The method is applied to an ONU side and comprises: sending, after receiving a registration message sent from an OLT, a message responding to the registration message to the OLT, wherein the message responding to the registration message includes first parameter information for defining self uniqueness or includes combined information composed of self-first parameter information and second parameter information configured by the OLT, and the first parameter information and the combined information is used for defining a binding relationship for establishing multiple channels with the OLT; and completing the establishment of channels according to a channel use command sent from the OLT, wherein the channel use command comprises multiple pieces of channel identification information allocated by the OLT.
