    摘要: The present invention provides a system for providing electrolyte to an electrolysis cell for producing hydrogen gas to inject into the intake of an internal combustion engine. The system includes an electrolysis cell having an electrolyte input port, an electrolyte output port and at least one working gas output port. The electrolyte output port communicates with a storage reservoir. A coolant liquid conduit is in thermal communication with the electrolyte solution and in fluid communication with a portion of the engine coolant system in which the coolant liquid has been heated by the engine when the engine is running. To heat up the electrolyte solution and improve the efficiency of electrolysis, the heated liquid coolant is diverted from the engine coolant system and circulated through the heating system to transfer heat to the liquid containing the electrolyte. In freezing temperatures the heated liquid coolant may also be diverted from the engine coolant system and circulated through the distilled water store to thaw the water used to replenish the electrolyte solution.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system for providing hydrogen gas to inject into the intake of an internal combustion engine. A hydrogen storage reservoir in communication with the gas output port stores a supply of hydrogen, and a hydrogen storage release valve retains the hydrogen in the storage reservoir and selectively releases hydrogen from the storage reservoir when the engine is started. In the preferred embodiment the system comprises an electrolysis cell that produces hydrogen when the engine is warm, and hydrogen is released from the storage reservoir when the system is active but the electrolysis cell is not producing hydrogen.

    摘要: A drive assembly for rotating a shaft of a pulley driven device. The drive assembly includes a hub in the form of an annular body of ferrous metal having a groove in an external periphery thereof. A belt driven pulley is provided in the form of ferrous sheet metal and has a web portion. A structural connection is defined between the hub and the pulley web portion such that the hub is in fixed, abutted relation with the pulley web portion. The hub and the pulley web portion have a bore therethrough defining a single, machined annular surface. The annular surface is constructed and arranged to engage a periphery of the shaft in an interference-fitted manner so as to maintain torque transfer to the shaft in the event of failure of the structural connection. The groove is constructed and arranged to be operatively engaged by a pulling tool for removing the annular surface from engagement with the shaft.

    摘要: A protector for the projecting forward end of a hockey skate blade consists of a one-piece moulding of tough resilient plastics material which conforms to the shape of the forward end of the blade and provides a pair of side flanges extending rearwardly from the frontal portion to lie against opposite sides of the blade adjacent the forward end. As applied to a conventional hockey skate having a toe portion extending from the forward end of the blade to the sole plate, the protector may be secured to the blade by means of integral, inwardly facing, opposed abutment flanges which engage the rear edge of the tow portion. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the toe bracket by which the blade is connected to the sole plate includes an elongated bifurcated portion consisting of a pair of bracket members defining therebetween a slot having a frontal opening, and the protector has a medial web which extends into the slot and is retained by the bracket members.

    摘要: An electromagnetically actuated power transmitting assembly has a cup shaped pulley structure mounted for rotation about the input shaft of a power driven device. The pulley structure has an outer annular driven portion for engaging an endless flexible driving element such that engine driven movement of the driving element rotates the pulley structure. The outer annular portion has ferromagnetic material along at least an internal diametrical periphery thereof to allow magnetic flux to flow therethrough. A one-piece flux carrier/mounting structure is formed from ferromagnetic material and has a mounting portion fixedly mounted to the power driven device and an annular flux carrier portion nested within the cup shaped pulley structure to allow the pulley structure to rotate relative to the flux carrier and to allow magnetic flux to flow therebetween. An annular magnetic coil for inducing a field of magnetic flux is fixedly mounted in the carrier portion. A selectively movable clutch has a magnetically attractable disc portion and a biasing member biasing the disc portion to a disengaged position. The clutch is mounted such that energizing the coil induces a magnetic flux which overcomes the bias and selectively moves the disc portion from the disengaged position to an engaged position wherein the clutch couples the pulley structure and the input shaft for rotation. De-energizing the coil enables the biasing member to move the disc portion to the disengaged position de-coupling the pulley structure the input shaft to allow the pulley structure to rotate relative thereto.
