    摘要: A torque limiter arrangement is used for a rotating device like a door mirror. The arrangement controls relative rotation between a fixed element and a rotational element which are drivingly connected by a drive unit. That is, a first clutch is released when a relative torque not less than a fixed first torque is effected between the fixed element and the rotational element. A second clutch is released when a relative torque not less than a fixed second torque is applied between the fixed element and the rotational element. A first spring is operatively connected with the first clutch to determine the first torque. A second spring is operatively connected with the second clutch to determine the second torque.

    摘要: An antenna device is comprised of a base member fixed to an automobile body, a first mast member, a second mast member and a third mast member. The third mast member is supported by the base member, the second mast member is supported by the third mast member and includes a plurality of telescopic elements and the first mast member is supported by one end of the second mast member and located away from the automobile body. A feeder conductor is connected to the first mast member through an impedance matching coil with the feeder conductor and the coil being molded in a resin elevation member. The resin elevation member extends through the second and third mast members and has an enlarged portion which surrounds the coil. The enlarged portion of the resin elevation member is in engagement with the second mast member and elevates the second mast member upon movement away from the automobile body.

    摘要: The attitude of an antenna which is used with an artificial satellite emitting a radio wave is controlled by a combination of the establishment of an antenna attitude in accordance with gyro data, a small range conical scan which is conducted when a reception level is less than a first reference and at or above a second reference and is relatively high for altering the antenna attitude to a direction which provides a higher reception level, and a broader range search scan which is conducted when the reception level is less than the second reference and is relatively low for altering the antenna attitude to a direction which provides a higher reception level. In one manner, in order to reduce an antenna driving time, an antenna attitude is regarded as an optimum if a fluctuation which occurs in the reception level during the small range conical scan is small, and the first reference is updated to a value which is slightly less than a maximum value in the reception levels which are obtained during the conical scan. In second manner, the first reference is a fixed value, and as long as the reception level continuously remains at or above a given value, which may be the first reference, for example, gyro data is initialized at a given time interval in order to prevent an accumulated error in gyro data from increasing. In other words, data representing a start point and a variance from the start point are cleared.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an arrangement for monitoring a road condition which determines the coefficient of friction of the road surface on the basis of a signal corresponding to an acceleration of a vehicle detected by an acceleration sensor. The signal is converted into one of at least two predetermined values by conversion means in response to a magnitude of the acceleration every cycle of a predetermined time period. The converted value is summed up by summing means by a predetermined number of consecutive cycles to provide a total value in the last cycle thereof which is stored in memory means. Then, in determination means, one of at least two standard values is selected in response to the condition of increase or decrease of the total value in the present cycle provided by the summing means as compared with the total value in the previous cycle stored in the memory means. And, the total value in the present cycle is compared with the above one of at least two standard values to produce a road condition signal corresponding to a result of comparison which represents the coefficient of friction of the road surface. The present system is applicable to an anti-skid control system for an automotive vehicle.
