摘要: A system and method for ventilating a utility structure enclosed by a vented cover is provided. The system includes at least one air movement device coupled to the cover. A first induction loop is electrically coupled to the at least one air movement device, the first induction loop being coupled to the cover. A second induction loop is disposed in the utility structure, the second induction loop being inductively coupled to the first induction loop. A gas sensor is operably coupled to the second induction loop to direct electrical power to the second induction loop in response to a gas level being equal to or exceeding a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A corrosion monitoring system includes one or more objects coupled to respective portions of a transformer tank. The one or more objects are configured to corrode before the respective portions of the transformer tank. At least one optical sensor is coupled to each of the objects. The at least one optical sensor has an optical output that changes in response to strain of the object. An analyzer is coupled to the at least one optical sensor. The analyzer is configured to perform one or more of detecting and predicting corrosion of the transformer tank based on the output of the at least one optical sensor.

摘要: A device for interrupting a flow of electrical power in an electrical distribution system is provided. The electrical distribution network includes a circuit interrupting device, the circuit interrupting device having a reclose time. The device includes a sensor configured to generate a signal in the event of loss of system power. A switch is coupled to the electrical distribution system and is movable between an open and closed position. A controller is operably coupled to the sensor and the switch, the controller having a processor that initiates a timer in response to the signal and determines a measured reclose time with the timer. The processor is further responsive to actuate the switch in response to the measured reclose time is substantially equal to the reclose time of the at least one circuit interrupting device.

摘要: A machine learning system for ranking a collection of filtered propensity to failure metrics of like components within an electrical grid that includes a raw data assembly to provide raw data representative of the like components within the electrical grid; (b) a data processor, operatively coupled to the raw data assembly, to convert the raw data to more uniform data via one or more data processing techniques; (c) a database, operatively coupled to the data processor, to store the more uniform data; (d) a machine learning engine, operatively coupled to the database, to provide a collection of propensity to failure metrics for the like components; (e) an evaluation engine, operatively coupled to the machine learning engine, to detect and remove non-complying metrics from the collection of propensity to failure metrics and to provide the collection of filtered propensity to failure metrics; and (f) a decision support application, operatively coupled to the evaluation engine, configured to display a ranking of the collection of filtered propensity to failure metrics of like components within the electrical grid.
