摘要: An end fray resistant textile sleeve includes an elongate wall having warp yarns extending generally parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve and fill yarns extending circumferentially about the sleeve. The warp yarns include at least two different types of yarns, with one of the types of warp yarns including activateable yarns and another of the types of yarns including non-activateable yarns. The activateable yarns can be provided as being activateable by at least one of heat, fluid and/or pressure, such that upon being activated, the yarns are caused to bond with the adjacent non-activateable warp yarns, as well as with the weft yarns with which they make contact. As such, the activateable yarns, upon being activated, become fixed with abutting warp yarns and weft yarns, thereby inhibiting end fray from resulting during a subsequent cold-cutting operation as well as in use.

摘要: A wrappable woven sleeve includes a wall having opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The opposite edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis, whereupon the wall takes on a tubular configuration with an inner surface of the wall bounding an enclosed cavity sized for receipt of an elongate member to be protected therein and an outer surface of the wall facing radially outwardly from the central longitudinal axis. The wall is woven with warp filaments extending generally parallel to the central longitudinal axis and weft filaments extending generally transversely to the warp filaments. One or more of the warp filaments are wire to shield against passage of low frequency EMI. A foil layer is fixed to the outer and/or inner surfaces of the wall to shield against passage of high frequency EMI.

摘要: A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member has a wrappable wall including a textile layer having an inner surface and an opposite outer surface extending lengthwise between opposite ends and widthwise between opposite edges. The opposite edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis to bound a central cavity extending lengthwise along the central longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The textile layer is formed of yarns interlaced with one another, wherein a least some of the yarns include metal wire(s). A silicone-based layer is disposed about the outer surface of the textile layer to provide enhanced heat-resistance, dielectric protection and impact resistance.

The inner surface is configured to bound a cavity sized for receipt of the elongate member therein. The textile layer is formed of yarns interlaced with one another, wherein a least some of the yarns include multifilaments resistant to heat and/or monofilaments resistant to heat, rendering the sleeve heat-resistant. A silicone-based coating is adhered to the outer surface to provide enhanced heat-resistance, dielectric protection and impact resistance.

摘要: A wrappable sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member, against exposure to high temperature, abrasion, fluid ingress, and contamination, has a multilayered wall extending widthwise between opposite edges and extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The wall includes a textile outer layer, a textile inner layer, and an intermediate layer sandwiched between the outer layer and the inner layer. The intermediate layer includes a textile intermediate layer facing the textile inner layer and a silicone-based layer facing the textile outer layer.

摘要: A battery cell interface material provides multiple types of protection between adjacent cells of an electric vehicle battery pack is provided. The interface material is an integral wall assembly having the following: a middle wall constructed of one of interlaced multifilament flame-resistant yarn or a non-woven material, the middle wall having opposite sides. A pair of intermediate layers, with each intermediate layer being bonded to a separate one of the opposite sides of the middle wall. A pair of outer layers, with each outer layer being bonded to a separate one of the pair of intermediate layers, such that each intermediate layer is sandwiched between one of the pair of outer layers and the textile middle wall, with each outer layer facing a cell wall of the electric vehicle battery being configured to be bonded directly to the cell wall.

摘要: A method and assembly for protecting a device connected to a wiring harness is disclosed. The assembly includes a protective tubular shield and a positioning device, with the protective tubular shield having a bore for receiving the device at least partially therein. An elongated wiring harness extends from the device being protected and through the bore of the protective tubular shield. The positioning device is formed having a band and at least one flexible, resilient finger extending radially inwardly from the band. At least one of the fingers forcibly engages the wiring harness to releasably maintain the positioning device and the protective tubular shield in a protection position along the wiring harness at least partially surrounding the device being protected.

摘要: A thermal sleeve for protecting an electronic member connected to a wiring harness against exposure to heat, combination thereof, and method of construction thereof is provided. The thermal sleeve has a tubular member including a circumferentially continuous wall with an insulative inner layer bounding an inner cavity extending along a central longitudinal axis between open opposite ends and a reflective outer layer. The sleeve further includes a positioning member constructed of resilient, reflective metal material. The positioning member has a tubular portion and at least one resilient finger extending radially inwardly from the tubular portion for abutment with the wiring harness. The tubular portion is fixedly attached to one of the opposite ends of the wall of the tubular member.
