An intelligent file management system has a storage unit, a file directory unit, a file detective unit and a file filter unit. The storage unit has all kinds of hard discs and optical discs. The file directory unit is employed to record and control the status of the storage unit. The file detective unit serves to detect content changes in the file directory unit and simultaneously send a message regarding changes to the file filter unit. The file filter unit decides whether a file is allowed to be saved or not according to the message and management criteria. In addition, the file filter unit can control storage capacity of the intelligent network attached storage (NAS) by deleting unnecessary files.
Abstract:
A remotely full control device. The device uses a remote monitor to control and monitor computers on a LAN through a WAN to handle abnormal operations in any computer(s) on the LAN. The remotely full control device includes: a WAN connection interface; a LAN connection interface; a KVM input and output interface; an audio input and output interface; and a power control signal generator. The WAN connection interface goes online to a WAN to receive a control signal from a remote monitor. The LAN connection interface goes online to a LAN having multiple computers. The KVM input and output interface transfers and receives data from the multiple computers. The audio input and output interface transfers and receives signals from voice devices of the multiple computers, and the power control signal generator uses a Wake-On-LAN technique to wake up one or more assigned computers. The invention further includes an image input device to help the remote monitor monitoring the multiple computers.
Abstract:
The invention discloses an apparatus for converting gray scale. The apparatus includes a receiving module, an encoding module, and a decoding module. The receiving module is used for receiving an input image, wherein the input image has an N-bit first gray level. The encoding module is used for selectively calculating a first color level based on both M higher bits and T lower bits of the first gray level, and then calculating a second color level and a third color level based on M higher bits of the first gray level. The decoding module is used for converting the first, second, and third color levels into an N-bit second gray level by using a gray scale conversion formula.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a photo meter comprising a light emitting device, a photo sensor, and a controller. The controller has a look-up table, wherein the look-up table records a plurality of control signals and a plurality of standard lightness values. The controller is used for transmitting a plurality of control signals for controlling the light emitting device to generate a plurality of lightness. The photo sensor is used for sensing the lightness to generate a plurality of corresponding lightness values. Afterward, the controller receives the lightness values from the photo sensor and then broadcasts an alert signal to notify the user that the photo sensor should be replaced if the difference between each of the lightness values and each of the corresponding standard lightness values recorded in the look-up table is greater than a threshold value.
Abstract:
A storage device is applied to a computer. The storage device comprises a control chip having a microprocessor, a buffer storage, a bus interface, a storage memory interface and a storage memory. The microprocessor controls the buffer storage to read or to write the data of the storage memory via the storage memory interface and then transmits the data to the CPU of the computer via the bus interface. A power supply is connected to the control chip and the storage memory to prevent the data from disappearing.
Abstract:
A display system and method for image overlapping are described. The display system includes a detection module, a transmission interface, a switch output device and a control module. The detection module receives a first image and detects synchronous signals of the first image. The transmission interface is coupled to the detection module and receives a second image having position display information. The switch output device is coupled to the detection module to output the first image. The control module coupled to the detection module, the transmission interface and the switch output device, respectively, dominates the switch output device to output the second image according to the synchronous signals and the position display information such that the second image overlaps the first image.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method as well as an architecture for a host equipped with a CPU-level processing capability to access a Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM) and at least a controller via a simple 3-wire/4-wire mechanism. The data stored in the NVRAM are shared with the controller and the host. More importantly, a multi-access mechanism further having a pragmatic bit determines the pragmatic bit for either the controller or the NVRAM. With the method of the present invention, computer system resources can be fully utilized, and thereby, peripheral devices can be easily added to the system in an inexpensive and highly efficient way.
Abstract:
Intelligent power supply and control method thereof. A power supply for altering an output power by detecting a power requirement of an electronic device and the electronic device having a memory. The power supply comprises a converter, a control device and a switch. The converter is able to convert an input power into the output power applied to the electronic device. The control device is coupled to the converter reads power information concerning the power requirement from the electronic device and accordingly controlling the converter to adjust the output power. The switch coupled both the converter and the control device receives a control signal of the control device and switches an output port of the power supply to the converter to transfer the output power from the converter to the electronic device.
