    摘要: A pressure control valve for the compressed air brakes of a railway vehicle includes a triple pressure control valve with a constant pressure chamber, a selector valve and a selector reservoir. Upon the occurrence of pressure reductions in the main brake line for service braking, the selector valve selector remains at rest. When stronger pressure reductions in the main brake line occur, the selector valve evacuates the selector reservoir which lags in relation to the main brake line pressure as result of the force exerted by a pre-stressed spring until a specific minimum pressure is attained by a retention valve. In a subsequent brake release, the selector valve will produce a pressure balance between the constant pressure chamber and the selector reservoir to facilitate the brake release process and a balancing or proportioning of the pressure control valve at an optionally reduced normal pressure head in the main brake line. The selector valve includes a piston retained in a middle position by a spring buffer and by two valves positioned on both sides of the piston and spring loaded in their respective closing directions. On one side, the piston is loaded by the main brake line pressure and on the other side by the pressure in the selector reservoir.

    摘要: Control system for electro-pneumatic compressed air brakes for rail vehicles with a servo valve (1) for control of a pilot pressure and for actuation of electrical contacts (40, 41) operable over a coupling (4) such that, at the beginning of an adjustment of the servo valve in the braking direction, at least one contact (40) is always closed while, at the beginning of an adjustment in the releasing direction, a different contact (41) is closed. The two contacts control the excitation of a brake and release contactor (50, 51) monitoring a brake and release circuit (56, 62) which, when switching, interrupts the circuits monitored by the contacts (40, 41) of the servo valve (1) by opening the coupling (4). Holding circuits for the brake and the release contactor (50, 51) are monitored by contacts of a second switching system (34); a piston (25) actuated by the pilot pressure against the main air line pressure serves to control the latter contacts. The control system permits control of the main air line pressure with sensitive control processes and slight pressure changes by very short excitation of a brake or release circuit (56, 62) but, in case of more extensive control processes with higher pressure changes in the main air line, by a lasting excitation of a brake or release circuit (56, 62) effected through the holding circuits.

    摘要: The invention discloses an apparatus for adjusting or actuating an air throttle valve positioned in the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine which is supplied by air under pressure. The air throttle valve is held in a closed position by a spring when the engine is in the cold starting phase. Air is supplied to the engine through a by-pass valve when the air throttle valve is closed. The air throttle valve is opened against the force of the spring in response to a predetermined pressure or vacuum in the intake manifold at the end of the cold starting phase. The air throttle valve is held in an open position by an electro-magnetic structure which is effective when an ignition circuit of the vehicle is energized or by a detent structure which is effective when the engine or exhaust temperatures are at predetermined levels.

    摘要: A transmission shiftable to change transmission ratios by the operation of a member whose effectiveness depends upon a pressure fluid, e.g. through a valve communicating the fluid to actuators of the gear-change system, has a clutch connecting the output shaft of a prime mover as an internal-combustion engine with the input shaft of the transmission. According to the invention, the clutch-operating cylinder is connected by an entraining device with a valve controlling the pressure fluid. A lost motion may be provided between the operating member of the cylinder and the valve seats to ensure full opening of the clutch before operation of the transmission is enabled.

    摘要: A pressure medium controlling valve has a valve member with an annular groove being formed in the surface of the valve member directed toward a valve seat. A resilient sealing ring is disposed within the annular groove and is opposed from the valve seat. The side of the annular groove facing toward the pressure medium is cylindrical and is engaged by the end of a resilient sealing lip attached to the outer peripheral surface of the sealing ring. The sealing lip extends angularly outwardly away from the sealing ring and toward the surface of the valve member directed toward the valve seat so that the outer end of sealing lip abuts resiliently against the cylindrical surface of the groove to form a seal therewith. The other side of the annular groove is provided with an undercut which receives a correspondingly shaped portion of the sealing ring.

    摘要: A braking apparatus for vehicles has a switching device which controls the admission of pressure fluid to the braking cylinder of a service brake and is operated by a reaction force acting upon a coupling or bearing support between the switching device and a lever operatively connected to a parking or locking brake. When this reaction force exceeds a predetermined limit upon operation of the parking brake, the switching device is actuated to release the service brake. The service brake is released at that time when the parking brake already applies a braking force and the short period of time between the parking brake being locked and prior to release of the service brake is so short that the brake linkage of the service brake is not subjected to any damaging effects.

    摘要: An accelerator device for a three-pressure control valve of an air brake system on a railway vehicle has a control piston one side of which is subjected to air line pressure and the other side to pressure in a control chamber such that when the pressure in the control chamber predominates the control piston opens an accelerator valve between the air line pressure and a valve chamber. A monitor valve is between the valve chamber and a transfer chamber which continuously communicates to the atmosphere through a throttle orifice. A first piston operates the monitor valve and is subjected in the closing direction of the monitor valve to the action of braking pressure against the effect of a spring force. A second piston which is coupled to the first piston is loaded by air-line-pressure acting in the closing direction of the monitor valve against the pressure in a chamber which can be filled with air line pressure through a check valve opening in the direction of flow of the air line pressure and having a throttle orifice therein.

A second valve opens subsequently to the first valve and is located in a connection leading from the expansion chamber through a throttle opening to the atmosphere. The second valve is actuated by a second piston loaded by the pressure in the pressure accumulation chamber in the direction to open the second valve against the force of a spring urging the second valve into its closed position.
