摘要: A system and methods for manufacturing a dry electrode for an energy storage device are disclosed. The system includes a first dry electrode material delivery system configured to deliver a dry electrode material, a first calendering roll, a second calendering roll, and a controller. The second calendering roll is configured to form a first nip between the first calendering roll and the second calendering roll. The first nip is configured to receive the dry electrode material from the first dry electrode material delivery system, and form a dry electrode film from the dry electrode material. The controller is configured to control a rotational velocity of the second calendering roll to be greater than a rotational velocity of the first calendering roll.

摘要: Disclosed are apparatuses and methods for forming films having uniform thicknesses across the entire width of the film. The films are also disclosed. The apparatus for forming the film includes a first nip roller and a second nip roller, each of the first nip roller and the second nip roller being configured to compress the powder as it passes between the first nip roller and the second nip roller and thereby form the film, whereby in the absence of a force counteracting the pressure of the passage of the powder between the first nip roller and the second nip roller the first nip roller is deflected to a greater degree than the second nip roller. Furthermore, the first nip roller and the second nip roller are each associated with one or more eccentric bearings that rotate to apply force vectors to the first nip roller and the second nip roller.

摘要: A marking system includes a valve body including an orifice plate including multiple orifices and multiple micro-valves. Each micro-valve includes an actuating beam movable from a closed position in which a corresponding one of the orifices is sealed by a portion of the actuating beam such that the micro-valve is closed, into a peak position in response to application of a control signal. A controller is configured to generate a control signal for each of the actuating beams, each control signal including a drive pulse having a predetermined voltage such that the actuating beam moves from the closed position into the peak position in which the corresponding orifice is open and returns to the closed position in a characteristic period, wherein the drive pulse has a duration that substantially corresponds to the characteristic period such that the actuating beam is in the closed position after the drive pulse is complete.

摘要: A micro-valve includes an orifice plate having a first surface, a second surface and an orifice extending from the first surface to the second surface. An actuating beam is disposed in spaced relation to the orifice plate. The actuating beam includes a base portion and a cantilevered portion. The base portion is separated from the orifice plate by a predetermined distance. The cantilevered portion extends from the base portion such that an overlapping portion thereof overlaps the orifice. The actuating beam is movable between a closed position and an open position. The micro-valve also includes a sealing structure including a sealing member disposed at the overlapping portion of the cantilevered portion. When the actuating beam is in the closed position, the cantilevered portion is positioned such that the sealing structure seals the orifice so as to close the micro-valve.

A casket may include a casket shell, at least one casket cap pivotally mounted on the casket shell, and a cap panel assembly mounted in the at least one casket cap. The cap panel assembly may include a cap panel, a puffing member attached to each edge of the cap panel, a cap panel insert positioned in-line with the cap panel, and a plurality of resilient members positioned on a front face of the cap panel insert. The plurality of resilient members may be tensioned, for example, to hold keepsakes, memorabilia, or other types of objects on or in the cap panel insert. The cap panel insert can include a mounting bracket or a screw and wire assembly for mounting the cap panel insert on a wall.
