摘要: A user equipment, a network node and methods thereof for timing of scheduling of resources in a frequency division duplex system are disclosed. The user equipment and network node operate in a frequency division duplex communication system. The network node determines (400) whether a user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, e.g. if the user equipment is configured with ABS or with half-duplex operation. Furthermore, if the user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, the network node sends (410) an indication to the user equipment to apply a time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources. The user equipment receives (420) the indication and thereupon applies (430) the time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources.

摘要: A method of operating a wireless communication device in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The wireless communication device transitions between a plurality of modes, wherein the plurality of modes further includes a sleep mode, wherein the wireless communication device does not listen for downlink data transmissions, and the plurality of modes further includes an active mode, wherein the wireless communication device listens for downlink data transmissions. While the wireless communication device is operating in the active mode, it receives control signalling from a transmitter to adjust a length of time for transitioning between a first mode among the plurality of modes and a second mode among the plurality of modes based on one or more sleep rules. The wireless communication device transitions from the first mode to the second mode based, at least in part, on the adjusted length of time.

摘要: Techniques for configuring and using measurement gap patterns for offloading purposes are disclosed. An example method, performed in a network node of a wireless communication network, includes selecting (410) a measurement gap pattern to be used by the mobile terminal, the measurement gap pattern having a series of measurement gap bursts such that the measurement gap bursts are separated by a repetition period and each measurement gap burst comprises two or more measurement gaps, and signaling (420) the measurement gap pattern to the mobile terminal. In some embodiments, the repetition period is chosen so that the measurement gap pattern repetition period and the long-DRX cycle length in some embodiments are related to each other by an integer power of N.

摘要: There is provided support mechanisms for at least one adding and removing a cell from operation in a heterogeneous radio network having a first type of basic cell for providing basic radio coverage and a second type of cell associated to a basic cell as a capacity enhancing cell. A capacity enhancing cell is selectively switched on and off. When the capacity enhancing cell is shut down the cell does not exist over the air while cell configuration information is kept. When the capacity enhancing cell is switched on the cell becomes available again over the air interface. An indication of shut-down and a wake-up call message for switch-on of the capacity enhancing cell are communicated between a base station serving the capacity enhancing cell and a base station serving the basic cell. In this way energy savings can be supported without disrupting service availability.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for configuring a wireless device individually (i.e., separately) per uplink subframe set as to whether or not the wireless device can use uplink 256 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (256QAM). In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node comprises configuring a wireless device for use of a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) table for uplink 256QAM separately per uplink subframe set for two or more uplink subframe sets. In some embodiments, the two or more uplink subframe sets are two or more uplink subframe sets for separate uplink power control. In this manner, 256QAM can be utilized in more subframes and, as a result, uplink data rate can be increased.

摘要: A first channel for carrying Layer 2 messages carries data that will not be retransmitted and for which decoding-related information need not be retained by the receiving node in the event of an unsuccessful decoding of the data, while a second channel carries data that will be retransmitted in the event that a negative acknowledgement is received by the transmitting node. In an example method, first and second subsets of Layer 2 messages are received on first and second physical data channels, respectively. Decoding-related information for unsuccessfully decoded messages in the first subset is retained for use with subsequent retransmissions, while decoding-related information for unsuccessfully decoded messages in the second subset is discarded without waiting for retransmissions. Acknowledgements or negative acknowledgements are sent for messages in the first subset, but may or may not be sent for messages in the second subset, in various embodiments.
