摘要： A dental articulator of simplified structure, capable of relatively forward and sideward movements to simulate human jaw movements, includes component parts representing lower jaw and maxillary structures held together at simulated condylar joints, wherein spring means press simulated condyles against matching condylar joint walls to hold them in such position when desired and disengaging means are provided which, when actuated, move the spring means away from the associated condyle part, facilitating relative movement of the simulated jaw parts at such joint. When both ends of the spring are moved away from the condyles the jaw portions of the articulator may be separated so that examination of the wear surfaces of dentures held therein may be effected easily. Specifically preferred structural features of the present articulator include a flat spring in strip form, bent at both ends thereof to form anterior condylar joint walls which yieldably hold the simulated maxilla against the condyles, and dog means, near both spring means ends, for selectively moving said spring ends away from the condyles and holding them in such position out of contact with the condyles, and for selectively allowing such spring ends to press against the condyles, as desired.

摘要： A length of conduit is coupled at its ends to a heat sink. A pair of thermocouples are joined to the conduit at spaced points intermediate the ends of the conduit. A conductive post is connected at one of its ends to the heat sink and its other end is joined to a location on the conduit, midway between the thermocouples, by conductive material having a higher electrical resistance than both of the joined elements. A coil arrangement is associated with the post and is energized to cause heating current to pass through the post, the high resistance conductive material and the conduit. The heat generated by the flow of heating current is concentrated at the midpoint between the thermocouples. The thermocouples produce outputs representative of the flow of fluid through the conduit.

摘要： A dental flask for use in molding full dentures includes bottom, middle and cover sections capable of being sealed together, either by screws for holding the bottom and cover sections to the middle section by screwing into threaded means in the middle section, or by external compressing means. The flask is of such a structure as to promote even transfer of heat to a synthetic organic polymeric plastic material for gum and palate portions of the denture and to teeth to be held thereby, and internally threaded sealing means are so located at sides of the flask as to apply sealing forces effectively and evenly when cover and bottom screws are tightened and are so located as not to interfere with molding of the denture or heat transfer to the plastic portion thereof during molding.

摘要： A valve and actuator assembly having a mechanism adapting such assembly for remote actuation by a pressure medium such as hydraulic or pneumatic fluid and including means for controlling the development of resultant forces acting upon the valve stem of the valve. The valve and actuator assembly includes safety means for rendering the valve safe in response to the development of predetermined unsafe conditions and is adapted with a manual override system allowing the valve to be manually opened or closed regardless of the condition of the safety means. Mechanical or fluid actuated interlock means is provided to render fluid actuating means inoperative and is also provided with means for rendering the mechanical override inoperative. The assembly is adapted to lock out the fluid actuator system to allow the assembly to be serviced without risk of inadvertent actuation by automatic systems. Effluent pressure may be communicated to the outer extremity of the valve stem to balance the force applied to the inner extremity of the valve stem by effluent pressure within the valve.

摘要： A bicycle frame of relatively large diameter tubing formed of a light weight, high strength metal tubing, such as titanium, is provided with integral stiffeners at the top of the seat tube, the bottom of the down tube and the top of the fork blades. In larger sizes of frames, stiffeners may also be included at the bottom of the seat tube and at the top of the down tube. The placement of stiffeners at these selected locations results in overall frame stiffness characteristics not previously considered achievable without substantial increase in the weight of the frame. As an additional feature, the enlarged diameter of the down tube is reduced at appropriate locations to enable standard gear shift lever and control cable fittings to be used.
