The continuous linerless label web (100) comprises a face (110) having a first side (111) and a second side (112) and a positionally alternating adhesive coating on the second side (112), wherein the method comprises: supplying the face (110) with a release coating arranged on the first side (111), providing positionally alternating continuous adhesive stripes (121) on the second side (112) of the web (100), wherein predetermined properties of the positionally alternating continuous adhesive stripes (121) are selected so that number of stripes in each single customer roll (300) is one or more, width of each stripe is smaller than width of single customer roll (300), and positional frequency is selected so that one oscillation cycle covers 0.1-10 peripherical lengths in a machine roll (570), and 1-100 peripherical lengths in a customer roll (300) defined as peripheries of full rolls. This invention further relates to a linerless label web and a linerless customer roll.

    摘要: A method for labeling items comprises: separating a label from a release liner by using peel plate, moving the surface of an item in a first direction, moving the label in a second direction, and bringing a leading edge of the label into contact with a surface of the item such that the angle between the first direction and the second direction is in the range of 10° to 30°, wherein the label comprises: a face layer, and an adhesive layer, wherein the face layer comprises semi-crystalline polymeric film, the adhesive layer consists of one or more adhesive sub-layers, a lowermost adhesive sub-layer of said adhesive sub-layers comprises transparent polymeric adhesive, the thickness of the face layer is in the range of 10 μm to 50 μm, the thickness of the adhesive layer is in the range of 8 μm to 25 μm, and the thickness of the adhesive layer is smaller than 95% of thickness of the face layer.

According to an embodiment the shrink label comprises an uniaxially oriented multilayer face film comprising skin layers including polyethylene polymer(s) and at least two cyclic polymers comprising different glass transition temperatures between 30 and 100° C. and the difference between the glass transition temperatures being between 5 and 60° C., and wherein the multilayer face film is seamed by a solvent.
