摘要: A drive wheel roller disengages a drive wheel on a device from the drive axle connected directly to a motor, such that the drive wheel can spin freely to move the device when the motor is not on. The axle has an aperture which aligns with an aperture on the hub of the drive wheel. When the pin is in place the drive axle and the wheel turn in unison. When the pin is removed the wheel can spin freely on a bearing located between the wheel and the axle. A screw cap locks the wheel on the axle.

摘要: A support bracket includes a cylindrical portion sized to have a skid inserted therethrough, and a receiving portion sized to receive a handlebar. The cylindrical portion and the receiving portion are formed by bending a single plate in two. The plate includes a groove portion formed centrally thereof, right and left flat plate portions positioned rightwardly and leftwardly of said groove portion, right and left curved portions protruding outwardly from the right and left flat plate portions, respectively, and right and left connection portions protruding outwardly from the right and left curved portions, respectively. The right and left flat plate portions include right and left projecting portions, respectively. The right and left flat plate portions are reinforced by the right and left projecting portions. When the plate is bent in two, the flat plate portions are joined together to form the groove portion into the cylindrical portion. At the same time, the curved portions are opposed to each other to provide the receiving portions. Further, the connection portions are opposed to each other in such a manner as to be connected to a casing of a tiller.

摘要: A method employing a basic structure and a collection of components to improve efficiency in caring for laws and gardens. The basic structure comprises a single engine, speed reducer, and transmission mounted on a frame with handle bars and controls. The components make up a collection of tines, wheels, blades, rollers, plows, racks and mounting parts. The operator mounts selected components on the basic structure to create a custom ramification for accomplishing a specific task. The specification describes eighteen applications. Eight apply to common tasks of tilling, grading, removing snow, shredding, edging and mowing. The ten remaining apply to new methods for wet lands tilling, hard ground tilling, rolling, aerating, dethatching, scooping, lifting, cross country transporting, and automatic mixing and separating. A primary advantage of the method lies in a consolidation that reduces costs for capital outlay, maintenance, storage, and transportation of walk behind equipment. A secondary advantage exists in a power take-off and mounting base for pumps, blowers, and generators to operate log splitters, yard vacuums, chemical sprayers, recreational gear, and fire fighting equipment.

摘要: A steering clutch assembly attached between an axle and a wheel of a rear-tined rotary tiller allows the implement to be steered. The clutch assembly comprises three coaxial tubular elements, the inboard-most of which is affixed to one of the driven shafts and the outboard-most of which is affixed to a stub axle projecting from a wheel. The inboard and outboard tubular members are connected at a joint that allows the outboard member to freely rotate about the axis of the shaft. An intermediate tubular member rotates with the inboard tubular member and is translated between and engaged and a disengaged position. In the engaged limiting position a portion of the intermediate tubular member bears on a portion of the outboard tubular member and rotationally locks those two tubular members together so that the outboard tubular member is prohibited from rotating with respect to the inboard tubular member. In a disengaged limiting position the intermediate tubular member does not engage the outboard tubular member so the outboard tubular member is free to rotate with respect to the other two tubes. This free rotation of the outboard tubular member and its affixed wheel allows the tiller to be manually turned by the operator.

摘要: A hub and tine assembly for a rotary debris remover is provided which comprises a hub which is rotatable about a shaft and a plurality of tine members which are arranged symmetrically around the rotation axis of the hub. The tine members are pivotally connected to the hub at locations which follow a circular rotation path around the rotation axis of the hub when the hub is rotated. Each tine member has at least one tine which projects from the hub. The tine member has a centre of gravity which is located so that the tine is offset from the radial direction when the hub is rotated and displaced in a direction which corresponds with the direction of rotation so that the tine can effect a "punching" effect on debris in its path.

摘要: A portable power operated cultivator includes a power unit comprising an internal combustion engine having a handle portion and being connected to one end of an elongated boom. A right angle gear drive mechanism is mounted on the opposite end of the boom and is driveably interconnected with the power unit by an elongated drive shaft disposed within the boom. An output shaft extends from opposite sides of the gear drive unit and is adapted to mount respective rotary cultivator blades on the ends thereof. A second handle is adjustably mounted on the boom to provide for a balanced weight distribution of the cultivator unit. The spaced apart cultivator blades are identical and include a plurality of radially projecting ground engaging tines. Adjacent tines on each blade have tip portions which are bent in the opposite direction with respect to each other along a bend line which provides for a positive angle of incidence or entry of the tine into the earth being worked by the cultivator. The tines of one blade are angularly offset with respect to the tines of the other blade to enhance the digging action of the cultivator unit.
