    摘要： An article of footwear including a 360° lacing system configured to secure the footwear to a wearer's foot. The lacing system includes an elongated lace that extends rearward adjacent an ankle collar, around a heel of the footwear, and forward again. The lacing system includes one or more fairleads that project outwardly from the ankle collar. The fairleads define fairlead holes through which the lace is extends. The lace is slidable relative to the holes, and thus the fairleads, and can be removed from and replaced relative to the fairleads with minimal effort. A related method of utilizing the article of footwear is also provided.

    摘要： Articles of footwear (e.g., soft snowboard boots) that may be tightened from the rear side to enhance heel hold are disclosed. A lace may be coupled to a strap that extends along a portion of the rear side of the boot body. The lace and strap may be arranged such that, upon tightening of the lace, the strap is pulled toward the front side. Tensioning of the lace may cause the lace to be pulled inward so as to exert a normal pressure against the medial and lateral sides of the boot, resulting in the sides being drawn inward toward the shaft region of the boot. The lacing system may employ one or more tightening zones where separate regions of the boot may be tightened independently from, or simultaneously with, one another. For example, a boot that is configured to have two tightening zones may include a first lace arranged so as to tighten a portion of the boot including at least one of the rear side, the medial side and the lateral side; and a second lace arranged so as to tighten another portion of the boot, including at least part of the front side. As a result, various “zones” of the boot may be separately controlled, tightened independent from one another, as desired.

The first lace is connected to the shoe upper and includes a wide portion and a narrow portion with a tapered portion in-between. The wide portion of the first lace is fastened to the mid-foot portion of the shoe upper at a first position that is nearer to the toe end than the heel end. The second lace is also connected to the shoe upper and also includes a wide portion and a narrow portion with a tapered portion in-between. The wide portion of the second lace is fastened to the mid-foot portion of the shoe upper at a second position that is nearer to the heel end than the first position.

The bending feature allows the phalanges sole portion to articulate upward with respect to the metatarsus sole portion. An upper is attached to the sole and defines a foot void for receiving a human foot. The upper has a phalanges portion that defines at least one toe receiver volume. The at least one toe receiver volume defines a raised shape with respect to an adjacent metatarsus portion of the upper. Articulation of the phalanges sole portion and substantially unrestricted toe lift movement into the at least one toe receiver volume allows substantially unrestricted upward toe flexion of a received foot in the foot void.

    摘要： An article of footwear and a method of making it wherein a woven region is integrated with a lacing system. The woven region preferably is located in the forefoot/vamp region of the upper. The woven area may be formed by a diagonal weave or an alternative suitable weave. Lacing components extend from the woven region and are used in a lacing system. The lacing system further includes a pair of series of lace holding elements, such as eyelets or lace loops, on opposing sides of the upper. The lacing components are routed through the lace holding elements and may be adjusted to affect the fit of the upper to the user's foot.
