摘要: A test fixture for soles includes a sole member, a heel cushion, a sole connector, a ring-shaped airbag, a torque connector, and an attaching assembly. The heel cushion is disposed on a heel section of the sole member and sandwiched in between the sole member and the sole connector. The airbag is disposed on the sole connector, and the torque connector is inserted in the airbag. The torque connector includes one end connected to the sole connector, and one opposite end connected to the attaching assembly disposed on the airbag.

摘要: A conditionally visible bite line may be demarcated on a shoe upper using one of a fluorescent material and an Infrared (IR) material. Such a conditionally visible bite line may be observable only under particular conditions, such as when illuminated by an ultraviolet light source or an IR light source, as appropriate. A light may be projected to intersect the conditionally visible bite line under conditions rendering the conditionally visible bite line detectable. The intersection(s) of the projected light and the conditionally visible bite line may be used to create a virtual bite line for use in generating a tool path to process the surface of a shoe upper bounded by the conditionally visible bite line.

摘要: Manufacturing of a shoe is enhanced by creating 3-D models of shoe parts. For example, a laser beam may be projected onto a shoe-part surface, such that a projected laser line appears on the shoe part. An image of the projected laser line may be analyzed to determine coordinate information, which may be converted into geometric coordinate values usable to create a 3-D model of the shoe part. Once a 3-D model is known and is converted to a coordinate system recognized by shoe-manufacturing tools, certain manufacturing steps may be automated.

摘要: A fixture for positioning pedal anchoring cleats on soles of cycling shoes comprising a support with at least two portions, a corresponding resting element being adjustably associated with each portion and having at least two pins for the self-centering support of the edge of an end of a corresponding shoe, the other end being supported by an opposite support. A corresponding element, simulating a bicycle pedal, is fixed to a support between the portions so as to correspond, during operation, to the region for the normal anchoring of the sole to the pedal. Means for simulating the bulk of the corresponding pedal crank of the bicycle are also provided.
