摘要： There is provided a hair dryer for quiet operative use that efficiently dampens noise created when fan impeller blades cut through the air and that acoustically insulates a motor to dampen vibrational noise generated thereby. The hair dryer of the present invention has a housing with an air inlet and an air outlet, a heater, an acoustically isolated motor, a fan operatively connected to the motor, an inner sleeve surrounding the fan and forming an air gap between the housing and the inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve surrounding at least a portion of the housing. In one embodiment, the inner annular sleeve has a plurality of guides for directing airflow. In another embodiment, the fan has one or more hubs with a plurality of propeller blades that cooperate with the housing and/or the inner sleeve to convert blade tip vortices into useful airflow, as well as to provide a noise dampening effect. In still another embodiment, the fan is positioned part-in and part-out of the housing. Other embodiments are described.

摘要： The mobilized hair-drying assembly includes a helmet member with motorized fan housing rigidly affixed to an exterior surface, and which propels accelerated air into the interior of the helmet member in order to dry hair of an end user positioned therein. An elastic member extends around an opening of the helmet member in order to provide an air-tight seal between a head of the end user and the helmet member. The helmet member includes a plurality of vent holes that enable the accelerated air to exit only after circulating across the hair of the end user. The motorized fan housing being positioned on a rear, exterior surface of the helmet member includes a heating coil that is selectively operated to introduce heated and accelerated air into the helmet member.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for the steam treatment of scalp hair, which hair was treated previously with an agent that contains ammonia. The treatment is carried out with a device with a steam hood such that at the start of the steam treatment ambient air in the neighborhood of a forehead region or an eye/nose region of the person is extracted automatically by a controllable extraction unit. This extraction unit is deactivated automatically after a preset time.
