摘要： A blade assembly for use with a food processor includes a hub configured to be coupled to a drive shaft of the food processor, a first blade rotatably coupled to the hub and configured to rotate with respect to the hub at least up to a predetermined angle with respect to a second blade, which is fixedly coupled to the hub. The first blade is rotatable between a first position in which it is in phase with the second blade for receiving a blade guard protecting both blades, and a second position, in which the first blade is out of phase with the second blade for optimally processing a food item in the food processor, the blade assembly also including a biasing member for returning the first blade to the first position after use.

A variable temperature blender has a lid assembly, a vessel assembly, and a base assembly. The vessel assembly has a blending vessel and a collar attached to a bottom portion of the blending vessel. The base assembly have a user interface, a motor, and a controller. A heating element positioned within the collar of the vessel assembly received an electronic signal from the controller via an electrical interface connecting the base assembly with the vessel assembly. The electronic signal activates or deactivates the heating element based on an operational mode of the variable temperature blender to heat a food item contained within the blending vessel.

摘要： A meat grinder safety cover attachment for a meat grinder grinding head that prevents an operator of the meat grinder from entering hand or fingers into the inlet throat of the grinder where a turning auger starts the grinding of meat. The grinder safety cover has two functional states: a normally closed state and an actuated open state. Moving from the normally closed state to the actuated open state is initiated by applying a linear force by depressing a slide plunger pin that engages the slide covers covering the grinder head inlet throat. The slide plunger pin and slide covers are configured to convert the linear motion of the slide plunger pin to rotational motion of the slide covers, opening the slide covers and uncovering the inlet throat of the grinder head. Removing the depression force on the slide plunger pin, the torsion spring attached to the slide covers and a return spring in the slide plunger pin then return the safety cover to its normally closed position.

摘要： An electric-motor kitchen appliance, in particular an electric-motor handheld device, preferably a hand mixer, includes a switch. The invention also relates to a finger-actuated electric control for the switch, and to a method for switching on/off a kitchen appliance. The switch is unlocked when the safety switch is actuated by the finger of a user. The safety switch is electronically switched. The possibility of unintentionally operating the electric-motor of the kitchen appliance is reduced due to the manual operation of the two separate switches. As a result, the safety of the electric-motor kitchen appliance in the household is significantly increased.
