摘要： A ball launching apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a funnel residing at an upper end of a housing. The funnel includes a channel for gravitationally directing a ball into a launch point within an interior compartment of the housing. The apparatus includes a hammer that strikes a ball through a chute, thereby releasing the ball from the housing. Both the distance at which the ball travels and the angle at which the ball leaves the chute may be adjusted by the operator. A method of exercising a dog is also provided herein.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a pitching machine comprising a ball path having ball entry point and a ball exit point; a pitching arm rotatably attached to the frame comprising a first end and a second end having an arcuate hand wherein the pitching arm rotates the pitching hand; and an elastic strap connected to a first end of the pitching arm and connected to the frame wherein the elastic strap activates the pitching and wherein the pitching arm is manually rotated to a first position defined by a stop such that a ball inserted at the entry point to the ball path will interact with the pitching arm and wherein the elastic strap biases the pitching arm from the first position to the second position propelling the ball along the ball path toward the ball exit.

The loader arm defines a longitudinal axis substantially perpendicular to the second axis of rotation of the rotating shaft and has a length extending away from the rotating shaft.

摘要： A ball tossing apparatus includes a support frame and a plurality of launch devices fixed to the support frame and arranged in a two-dimensional array. The launch devices include cylinders having a spring fixed therein, with a ball carrier fixed to the spring. The balls are retained in a loaded position (springs compressed) and then upon activation of the launch devices are launched vertically into the air to the sports player. In another embodiment, the launch devices include a rotating lever which is acted on by a biasing member to launch the ball vertically from the cylinder. A method for launching the balls includes the steps of loading the balls into a two dimensional array, and then launching the balls according to a launch sequence. An electronic control system for use with the ball tossing apparatus includes a launch module for launching the loaded balls in the plurality of launch devices according to a launch sequence. The launch sequences can be randomly generated, programmed by the sports player, or retrieved from memory. The launch of the balls can also be controlled remotely.

The wheel is positioned at the release point of the pitching arm to provide a second velocity component to the ball and to pitch the ball at an initial launch angle.

The training device is used by coaches in controlled practice sessions, to train and evaluate defensive and offensive lines and backs, and other players, in their response to kicked balls. The device provides repeated, reproducible kicked balls without requiring trained kickers to perform these routine functions or exposing them to injury. Optional, replaceable kicking shoes and other components provide alternate trajectories and forces. The device is readily portable and does not require fuel or connection to a power source.
