    摘要: A synchronized rotating wheel assembly for a recreational device having wheels is disclosed. The assembly includes a base plate having top and bottom surfaces, the top surface of the base plate adapted to be attached to a portion of the recreational device, a gear assembly joined with the bottom surface of the base plate, and first and second wheel assemblies respectively joined with the first and second interconnected gears. The gear assembly includes first and second interconnected gears, a mechanism for rotating the first and second gears in unison and in the same direction, and a bias spring mechanism for returning the first and second interconnected gears to a default position when the gear assembly is not under stress. The mechanism may include a third gear between the first and second interconnected gears or a belt having teeth that cooperate with both the first and second interconnected gears.

    摘要: An in-line skate frame includes two lateral plates connected to a mounting plate, and a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart holes disposed transversely in a bottom side of the mounting plate. Each lateral plate includes longitudinally spaced-apart upward projections each having an upper slot, and indented edges each formed between two adjacent upward projections. Each indented edge is spaced apart from the mounting plate to define an aperture with the mounting plate and two adjacent upward projections. Fastening units extend through respective holes and respective upper slots to fasten the lateral plates to the mounting plate. Rollers are fastened to each lateral plate at points below the apertures in each lateral plate, respectively.

At least a portion of the flexible shoe portion that is adjacent the sole is exposed, and free from blockage by the support structure, thereby promoting the circulation of air through the breathable shoe portion.

    摘要: Improved support and adjustment of the frame on the boot are obtained by providing mounting brackets that extend transversely outwardly and beyond the underlying side walls between which the roller wheels are mounted and that contain transverse mounting slots whose transverse extents are at least as great as the spacing distance between the underlying side walls. Improved parallelism of the axles is obtained by providing diametrically opposed lobes in a mounting hole in one of the side walls at each wheel mount and by providing the corresponding axle head with a complementary shape fitting to that portion of the mounting hole containing the lobes. A tool for installing and removing the wheels from the frame is also disclosed.

    摘要: A variable training resistance device for an in-line skate. The skate includes a boot and a plurality of wheels disposed on a chassis. A resistance assembly, including a cam and bearing assembly or a rack and pinion assembly, is disposed between two of the wheels on the chassis. The cam and bearing assembly includes a plurality of cam carrier blocks disposed along either side of the chassis, wherein one of the cam carrier blocks has a first cam axle fixedly disposed thereon. A cam lever having a second cam axle is rotatably mounted on the chassis, and a plurality of cams are rotatably disposed on the first and second cam axles. Bearings are rotatably disposed between the cams and can be adjusted vertically to contact and provide resistance to the wheels of the in-line skate. The resistance assembly also includes a microadjust assembly to vary the position of the bearings with respect to the wheels of the skate. The rack and pinion assembly includes a rack, a pinion for engaging the rack, bearings disposed about the pinion, and a lever for moving the pinion upwardly or downwardly on the rack. The bearings can be moved downwardly to frictionally engage and provide resistance to the wheels of the in-line skate.
