    摘要: The present invention is directed toward a material handling, processing and milling facility which utilizes ball milling as a means for material grinding, mixing or mechanical alloying of materials. The system includes an automatic ball charging, agitating and indexing assembly, constructed and arranged to deagglomerate and directly distribute a plurality of grinding balls to the facility. Additional components of the system include an open raceway, in mechanical engagement with the automatic ball charging, agitating and indexing assembly, a bucket elevator for receiving the grinding balls from the open raceway and elevating them to a gravity fed transport system, at least one transporting device for receiving the grinding balls from the bucket elevator; and a ball mill for receiving the grinding balls from the at least one transporting device.

In order to enable the volume of grinding charge to be used in a better way as a parameter for controlling mill operation, the lifting device is resilient and is provided with a load detecting device which, during each drum revolution, detects when the lifting device comes into engagement with, and is in engagement with the grinding charge present in the drum and leaves, or is caused to leave, engagement with the grinding charge. The arrangement also includes a tension sensing device which registers the tension on the load detector, this tension being contingent on the load to which the lifting device is subjected by the grinding charge.

    摘要: The employed feed element in a grinding body feed apparatus of a grinding mill is the grinding bodies supply tank proper, in which the grinding bodies are charged from a ball hopper or storage. In connection with the supply tank, there is provided a grinding bodies discharge element, by means of which the grinding bodies are conducted to a duct serving as a feed chute and leading to the grinding mill, and via said duct, to the grinding mill proper. The opening and closing of the supply tank is carried out by external, opposing control elements that encircle the drum element of the supply tank in relation to its frame. By means of the feed device, it is possible to feed one ball at a time to the mill, in which case a correct number of balls can be supplied.

    摘要: The present invention provides phosphor inks configured to achieve high efficiency in converting LED light from one wavelength to another. The phosphor ink composition for deposition on an LED device comprises a phosphor component having nano-phosphor particles on the order of 100 to 1000 nanometers, and a curable resin component. In particular, the nano-phosphor particles are uniformly dispersed throughout the ink composition. The nano-phosphor particles may be formed by a size reduction process carried out on larger phosphor particles on the order of 1 to 50 micrometers. Preferably, the size reduction process is based on solvent wet milling. Methods for preparing the phosphor inks based on forming the nano-phosphor particles from larger particles by solvent wet milling are also provided.

    摘要: Apparatus for feeding balls to a grinding mill. The apparatus includes a downwardly inclined chute (12) adapted to receive balls from a bin or hopper, the chute for delivering the balls to the grinding mill and means (20) for sequentially feeding the balls, one-at-a-time, to the grinding mill. The feeding means includes a first actuator (22) and a second actuator (26). Each of the actuators preferably includes an extension arm (24 and 28 respectively) mounted for rotation along the longitudinal axis of the chute. The first actuator is for restraining balls from traveling down the chute and works in conjunction with the second actuator for isolating the lowermost ball in the chute to be fed next to the grinding mill. The second actuator is for releasing the isolated ball. The feeding means may include a computer controller (90) for operating each of the actuators at a predetermined time interval corresponding to the ball attrition rate of the grinding mill. A magnetic sensor (84) may be positioned inside the chute downstream from the actuators for sensing passage of the isolated ball through the chute for providing feedback to the controller.

    摘要: An apparatus for uniformly feeding grinding balls to a grinding mill. The apparatus includes a ball storage hopper, a regulator and an inclined chute for conveying balls from the hopper to the regulator. The chute includes a panel for controlling the depth of the balls. The regulator includes a discharge drum having a plurality of compartments adapted to receive the balls, an electric motor for rotating the drum, and a means for retaining the balls in the drum. The drum is rotated at a predetermined speed and feeds the balls into a mill at a uniform rate which can be controlled to approximately match the attrition rate of the balls in the mill.
