Abstract:
The invention relates to a soap dispenser that is designed to be mounted on a vertical surface such as a wall. More particularly, the soap dispenser defines a reservoir that is designed to accept bulk quantities of soap. The soap is dispensed from the top of the reservoir by a pump.
Abstract:
A fluid dispenser having a housing and a cover removably coupled to the housing with the cover having a right cover side wall and a left cover side wall secured together spaced laterally from each other and in which the cover side walls are resilient and deflectable laterally away from each other for disengagement of the cover from the housing.
Abstract:
A liquid take-up mechanism may be used in connection with a spray bottle having a first and second vertical tube section, an internal member capture, a horizontal tube section, an angled tube section, and a rotation connection member. The internal member capture may be adjacent the first and second vertical tube sections. The horizontal tube section may be secured to the second vertical tube section. The angled tube section may be secured to the horizontal tube section. The rotation connection member may have a housing and an internal member, which may be carried by the internal member capture. The first and second vertical tube sections may be adapted to be carried by the housing. The internal member may be adapted to interface between the first and second vertical tube sections. The second vertical tube section may be able to freely rotate with respect to the first vertical tube section.
Abstract:
A foam pump including a housing and a piston that reciprocates within the housing is disclosed herein. The piston has a hollow portion and an orifice through the wall of the piston. A first seal located proximate the upper end of the piston provides a seal between the piston and the housing. A liquid inlet is located in the side wall of the housing at a point lower than the top of the piston. A one-way liquid inlet valve is located proximate the liquid inlet and a one-way liquid outlet valve is located prior to the liquid outlet. A charge chamber is defined at least in part by the liquid inlet valve, the liquid outlet valve, a wall of the piston and a wall of the housing.
Abstract:
According to one aspect of the invention, a method for directing the use of a sprayer includes the step of directing a user to affix a sprayer to a neck of a water bottle (114) via an attachment mechanism (112). The method further includes the step of directing the user to adjust the attachment mechanism (112) to change the internal geometry thereof and attach the sprayer to the neck of the bottle.
Abstract:
A trigger pump dispenser comprises an outlet valve which is adapted to open an outlet port when a pump chamber decreases in volume as liquid therein is dispensed through the outlet port, and which is adapted to close when the pump chamber increases in volume. The outlet valve comprises a precompression valve operable to allow liquid through the outlet only after a predetermined elevated pressure is established in the pump chamber. The valve has a movable valve member carried on or by a spring member which biases the valve member to a closed position but flexes in response to the elevated pressure in the chamber acting on the valve member to move the valve member to an open position so that liquid can pass from the chamber and thereafter be dispensed through an outlet nozzle.
Abstract:
A fluid spray device comprising a reservoir (10) containing fluid; a pump or a valve (20) mounted on the reservoir (10) by means of a fixing ring (30) for selectively dispensing the fluid; and a dispenser head (40) including a dispenser orifice (45), the device further comprising an actuator device (50) that is displaceable between a rest position and a dispensing position, the actuator device (50) being displaced in a direction that is different from the direction in which the fluid is sprayed through the dispenser orifice (45), said fluid spray device being characterized in that said actuator device (50) is formed on the dispenser head (40), and co-operates with the fixing ring (30), or with an element secured thereto, in order to actuate the pump or the valve (20).
Abstract:
A dispensing head which can be mounted on a receptacle. The dispensing head includes a pump, for surmounting the receptacle, with an actuating rod having a longitudinal axis X. A diffuser is mounted on the pump, and includes a tube opening at a dispensing orifice, with the tube being elongated along an axis Y distinct from the axis X. A lever arm controls the actuation of the pump, with the lever arm including a portion capable of coming to bear on the diffuser in order to actuate the pump. In addition, a locking member is configured such that, in a first position, the locking member allows actuation of the pump and, in a second position, the locking member prevents actuation of the pump. In a disclosed example, in the second position the tube abuts against a portion of the locking member to prevent actuation of the pump.
Abstract:
A dispensing assembly is provided for a container of fluent material. A hand-operable dispenser cartridge is adapted to be mounted to the container. An actuator with a lateral projection, which may be a nozzle or spout, is mounted on the cartridge. A locking sleeve is mounted around the cartridge and has an upper abutment edge and a recess. The locking sleeve can be rotated between a first rotated position preventing actuation of the dispenser and a second rotated position permitting actuation of the dispenser.
Abstract:
A disposable plastic pump for dispensing liquids is disclosed which comprises two basic unitary, preferably all plastic, elements: a chamber forming body having an open outer end and an inner end in fluid communication with a liquid reservoir, and a piston formed to slidably fit into the chamber. The chamber forms two axially adjacent coaxial chambers, an inner chamber of one diameter and an outer chamber of a different diameter. The piston comprises a stem on which is located two spaced flexing disc each sized to fit in and serving as a one-way valve in the inner chamber and outer chamber, respectively, permitting fluids to flow outwardly past each flexing disc. A sealing disc is located on the stem outwardly of the outermost flexing disc. A passageway is provided from an inlet on the piston between the outermost flexing disc and the sealing disc through which the dispensed liquid flow.
