    摘要: A can seaming apparatus and methods of forming a seam on a can and lid assembly is disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more seaming arms pivotably attached to a shaft, a seam roller attached to one end of each seaming arm and a cam system. The cam system includes one or more cams associated with the end of each seaming arm opposite the seam roller. Force is transferred to each seaming arm through rotation of the one or more cams. The seaming arm then pivots and moves the associated roller into a seaming area of a can and lid assembly to create a seam.

Accordingly, the seaming shape of the corner seamed portion (5) is formed in such a shape that the seaming width thereof at the center of the corner seamed portion is larger than the seaming width of a linear sealed portion (4) and is swelled outwards to absorb an increase in sheet thickness at the corner seamed portion. Also, a seaming wall (6) is formed in an obliquely inclined seamed shape so that the overlap of a cover hook (8) with a body hook (10) of a prescribed amount can be secured without allowing the cover hook (8) to fall from the body hook (10) so as to maintain excellent sealing ability.

Two end portions of a plate are bent perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the plate to form flange forming portions. Corner forming portions protrude from side ends of the flange forming portions in a width direction to form corner portions at the end portions of the duct. In an expanded shape of the plate, a cut portion is provided close to a longitudinal center of the plate member such that the cut portion extends in a width direction of the plate member and has a depth substantially equal to an overlapping portion of the corner forming portion.
