    摘要: A cutting tool for tube cutting machines includes a tool holder and a dismountable holder blade having replaceable cutting inserts. The tool holder includes a basic body, as well as a support body for the holder blade. There is arranged between the basic body and the support body a set-up body, by means of which the support body, and thereby the holder blade, can be set and fixed in the exact, desired spatial positions in the machine without time-consuming measuring and fine adjustment operations. In addition, the holder blade is fixed in the support body by means of a single simple screw, which allows a flexible mounting and dismounting of the same.

    摘要: A method for completely machining at least unprocessed centric journals (10) and crankpin journals (11), and the respective flat shoulders (9, 10) thereof surrounding the journals, of flanged or cast blanks of a crankshaft first includes turning the flat shoulders (9) associated with the journals (10). Then, the centric journals (10) are roughly ground without the flat shoulders (9) thereof and the crankpin journals (11) are roughly ground together with the flat shoulders (12) thereof. After the journals (10, 11) have been roughly ground, an allowance remains that is smaller than an allowance required for common finish grinding of journals and flat shoulders. The rough grinding is followed by the finish grinding of the centric journals (10) and the crankpin journals (11) from the smaller allowance (23) remaining due to the rough grinding to the final dimension.

    摘要: A method and a tool head are provided for the chip-removingly machining of pairwise symmetrical, optically effective surfaces, in particular of surfaces of progressive power spectacle lenses. The spectacle lenses are rotated about a first axis and are displaced along the axis. Further, a chip-removing tool is provided being positioned and being adapted to be fed-in, such that a cutting edge of the tool is guided over the surface along a spiralled path and along an elevation function given by the shape of the spectacle lens, when the latter is rotated about the first axis. For machining right side spectacle lenses and left side spectacle lenses, the right side spectacle lenses are rotated about the first axis in a first rotational direction, and the left side spectacle lenses are rotated about the first axis in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction. The tool head comprises chucking means defining an axis of the tool head, and a tool carrier section having at least two lathing tools arranged at a periphery thereof. The one lathing tool of the pair is oriented in the one circumferential direction of the periphery, and the other lathing tool of the pair is oriented in the opposite circumferential direction of the periphery. At least one, preferably all of the lathing tools are provided with adjustment means allowing an adjustment of a point of engagement of the lathing cutting edge.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for machining a tubular workpiece to form an internally threaded coupling having a faced and chamfered end and a tapered counterbore. The method includes forming a tool support bar having a longitudinal axis and supporting on the tool support bar first and second tools having cutting edges and a thread cutting tool. The method further includes rotating the workpiece about its longitudinal axis and positioning the tool support bar relative to the workpiece such that the axis of the tool support bar and the workpiece lie in one plane and are substantially parallel to each other. The method further includes moving the support bar to chamfer and face the end of the workpiece with the first tool, moving the tool support bar to taper and counterbore the interior of the workpiece with the second tool, and moving the support bar to thread the tapered interior of the workpiece with the thread cutting tool.

    摘要: A tool retracting head for finish machining parallel surfaces on a workpiece in which the tools which are movable across the surfaces to be machined are mounted on relatively movable supporting head sections. The tools are moved radially inwardly along opposite surfaces of a rotating workpiece, one of the head sections is then moved a predetermined distance in a direction to move the tool thereon away from the tool on the other head section, the workpiece is then moved in the same direction a smaller distance so that both surfaces are spaced from the tools, and the head is then retracted while the tools are spaced from the workpiece surfaces to positively preclude the formation of objectionable drawback lines on the workpiece.
