摘要: A blank for manufacturing molded dental components includes a blank body that includes tooth repairing material. A molded dental component is manufactured by removing portions of the tooth repairing material using a tool. The blank is encoded with at least one structure as a carrier of information regarding properties of the blank body. The at least one structure is arranged such that at least one of a position, dimensions, or a type of structure can be determined by sensing or measuring the blank. In this context, the position, the dimensions, or the type of the structure are embodied such that a value acquired during a determination of the above corresponds to information about a property of the blank body.

摘要: Machines for fitting cable bushings on a cable have a hollow mandrel (11) for receiving cable bushing (12) and a cable in a fitting region (A). Rotatably mounted stripping jaws (8a, 8b) arranged in the fitting region (A) fit the cable bushing (12) on the cable. A camera (9a, 9b) is directed towards the fitting region (A). A rotation axis of at least one of the stripping jaws (8a, 8b) is at a lateral distance from ray-of-view (D) originating from the camera (9a,9b) and running through the fitting region (A). The stripping jaws (8a, 8b) may be opened to an extent that makes it possible for the camera (9a, 9b) to have an unimpeded view of the fitted cable bushing (12). Related methods for operating such machines (1) are also disclosed.

摘要: Methods of fly-cutting a workpiece are disclosed, and in methods in which the position of a fly-cutting head or its associated cutting element is known as a function of time. Also disclosed are methods of forming features, such as grooves or groove segments, in a workpiece such as a cylindrical roll. The features may be provided according to one or more disclosed patterns. Articles made using tools machined in the manner described are also provided, such as polymeric film or sheeting that exhibit certain beneficial properties.

The cutting tool also includes a drive mechanism including a cam and a ratchet mechanism. At least a portion of the ratchet mechanism is drivably coupled to the first cutting blade. The cutting tool further includes a motor for providing torque to the cam to actuate the ratchet mechanism. The ratchet mechanism includes a follower that is translatable in a direction transverse to a rotational axis of the cam in response to rotation of the cam.

摘要: A device for drilling or boring openings, primarily deep openings, comprises a cutter head with guides, said head being equipped with a device for displacing the cutter in the radial direction from the drive. The input of the drive is connected via a control signal transmission circuit and a transducer to the output of a system for digital programming control (DPC). A sensor for checking variations in the wall thickness of the component, a sensor of the angle of rotation of the component, a sensor of the angle of rotation of the cutter head and a sensor for checking the wobbling of the component are connected to the DPC system. The drive of the device for displacing the cutter in the radial direction is in the form of a linear drive and is mounted on the cutter head. The technical result is expressed in an increase in the accuracy of machining deep openings while ensuring that said openings can be corrected during the process of machining the openings.
