摘要： A saw and guide apparatus includes a saw assembly and a cutting guide. The saw assembly includes (i) a drive member configured to be moved in a repeating pattern, (ii) a motor configured to move the drive member in the repeating pattern, (iii) a housing defining an interior space in which the motor is positioned, (iv) a foot including a base defining a cutting member opening therein, the base further defining a lower base surface, (v) a cutting member secured to the drive member so that the cutting member extends through the cutting member opening, and (vi) a guard attached to the housing and defining a cutting wheel space in which the cutting wheel is at least partially positioned. The cutting guide includes (i) a first saw support defining a first saw contact surface and a first workpiece contact surface, and (ii) a second saw support defining a second saw contact surface and a second workpiece contact surface, the first workpiece contact surface being spaced apart from the second workpiece contact surface so as to define a window therebetween. The foot is configured such that, if the following conditions exist: (i) the lower base surface is positioned in contact with the first saw contact surface, and (ii) the guard is positioned in contact with the second saw contact surface, then the cutting member extends through the window and the base is spaced apart from the window.

摘要： A method for repairing a blowout preventer using a blowout preventer milling assembly while in an operational configuration at sea. The blowout preventer is lifted while secured to casing and the blowout preventer is locked to the platform of a rig. The opening doors of a gasket chamber of a blowout preventer have a gasket surface for resurfacing. A pair of legs slides into grooves in the gasket chamber. A support frame is attached to the pair of legs using a plurality of spring loaded mounting assemblies. A pneumatic spindle with a calibration head inserts into a spindle holder of the support frame. Each actuator of the support frame is connected to a portable controller. The portable controller calibrates a location of the pneumatic spindle over the gasket surface for resurfacing using the portable controller.

The worm gear shaft includes a bore structure defining a blind bore and an opening leading to the blind bore. The bore structure defines a set of internal threads that are spaced apart from the opening. The motor shaft includes a set of external threads.

摘要： A guide attachment for a rotary hand tool is disclosed that comprises a housing, an adapter and a removable base. The attachment is configured to remove grout from between adjacent tiles, such as floor or wall tiles. The housing of the preferred embodiment is configured to permit a tool bit to engage a work surface at the normal intersection of two planes. The removable base of the preferred embodiment permits the attachment to work on flat surfaces. The base is also reversible and contains multiple sets of guide points for guiding the tool bit along grooves that have different widths. The preferred embodiment can also include a vacuum adapter that is attachable to the housing and allows a vacuum hose to be coupled to the guide attachment for removing debris during operation. The configuration of the housing or locking mechanism accommodates adapters having different circumferences.

The housing also includes first and second guide walls, for engaging abutting walls at a corner of the work surface. The first and second guide walls are disposed substantially perpendicular to one another, and have respective outer surfaces which, if projected, would intersect to form a line lying in a common plane with the axis of the housing and oriented at an acute angle to the axis of the housing.

摘要： A dowel hole and slot cutter comprise a motor having a base slidably mounted on a track and a cylindrical cutting bit mounted at one end of the motor and extending outwardly therefrom. A support includes a pair of arms with one arm extending upwardly from each side of the track and a cross-portion joining the arms and having an aperture extending therethrough for movement of the cylindrical cutting bit. A flat member having an aperture therethrough includes a track at its upper and lower end which engages the cross portion of the bracket for movement transverse to the cross portion. In operation, the cutter may be used to drill holes, dowel holes, or slots in a fast efficient manner. A polycarbonate member having a elongated slot for the cylindrical cutting bit is mounted between the flat member and a adjustable support member, which includes a perpendicular portion extending outwardly therefrom and two portions extending downwardly from the perpendicular portion therefrom.
