Abstract:
A flat sanding structure contains: a body including a first and a second wood planing zones. The second wooding zone has two supporting shelves and two grinding wheels. Two supports are connected with two first fixing pieces and two second fixing pieces, a third holding plate is fixed between the two grinding wheels and the two supporting shelves. Said each first fixing piece has a first through orifice and two elongated orifices, a first connecting shaft has a threaded orifice, a first holder is defined between the two first fixing pieces, and two posts are inserted into the two first fixing pieces and connected with the first holder. The first holder has a tab and an elongated hole. A second connecting shaft is inserted into each second fixing piece, a second holder is defined between the two second fixing pieces, and one of the two supports has a column.
Abstract:
A metallic disk (10) for use with a powered hand tool to remove measured small amounts of material from the surface of a workpiece to smooth the surface thereof. Each disk (10) being formed with an array of strategically placed abrader elements (14) in which each such abrader element (14) is formed with a series of projections (38) in the nature of teeth extending inwardly from an inner wall, defining an opening, toward the edge of the abrader element (14), and being raised above the surface of the disk to engage the surface of the workpiece.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a grinding machine comprising oscillating driving means (3, 4) for setting grinding means (1) into an oscillating grinding motion and an actuation devicu (7) that is provided with a plurality of actuation areas (8) which can be triggered such that different zones of the grinding means (1) are alternately actuated independently of the oscillating grinding motion.
Abstract:
A sanding machine (1; 300) comprising a support structure (2; 302) for the piece (3) to be processed and a sanding unit (4) for the piece (3) itself. The sanding unit (4) comprises a frame (40) that supports a winding element (8) cooperating with kinematic means (9) suitable for setting it in motion according to a closed ring configuration on a plane (π1) substantially parallel to the plane (π2) defined by the support structure (2; 302) and a plurality of abrasive elements (10) combined with the winding element (8) spaced from one another and provided with an abrasive surface (16; 416) that comes in contact with the piece (3) during the movement of the winding element (8).
Abstract:
The subject matter of the invention is a continuous through-feed grinding machine for machining a workpiece surface, said grinding machine having a grinding station with at least two rotating grinding tools, more specifically disc or roll grinders, with the grinding tools being continuously advanced along an endless path. The objective of providing a continuous through-feed grinding machine allowing for even machining of the workpiece surface with even wear of the grinding tools is accomplished by providing the endless path (128) with two work segments (140, 142) alternating with two transfer segments (144, 146) or by continuously advancing grinding tools that are moved along an endless path configured as an oval or elliptical shape.
Abstract:
An automatic processing unit comprising a conveyor (1) extending through the automated processing unit and having a longitudinal direction and a transversal direction; and at least one working station located above the conveyor (1) for processing a workpiece (2). The working station is configured such that it can be displaced in an oblique angle in relation to both the longitudinal direction and the transversal direction of the conveyor (1).
Abstract:
A material removal optimizing system for a wood surface treating apparatus with a plurality of individual work stations arranged serially along an endless conveyor. Each station includes a working abrasive head along with an elevation adjustment mechanism for adjustably positioning the contact surface of each abrasive head at a desired working distance from the opposed surface of the workpiece traveling along the endless conveyor. An incoming workpiece dimension indicator is positioned at the infeed end, and additional workpiece dimension indicators are positioned downstream from each work station, with each dimension indicator being positioned to measure the dimensional deviation of the workpiece from a datum plane after it has passed through its preceding individual work station.
Abstract:
A scuffing machine is provided for finishing the surfaces of continuously advancing wood products. The machine includes a frame defining a scuffing station, with a conveyor for transporting the wood products through the scuffing station in a generally horizontal feeding direction. A plurality of scuffing brushes are mounted on the frame at the scuffing station for rotation about vertical axes. Each scuffing brush includes a plurality of elongated, vertically extending bristles which terminate in distal ends for engaging the wood products.
Abstract:
An apparatus for sizing and sanding a workpiece, the apparatus comprising a housing having a horizontally throughgoing passage, a feed conveyor for advancing the workpiece through the passage, the workpiece having an upper surface that advances through the passage along a pass line, a sanding station for finishing the upper surface, and a planing station for sizing the workpiece along the upper surface. The planing station of the present invention has a driven planer head, an antikickback assembly, a chip-break assembly, and means for disengaging the planing station to convert the apparatus from a planing and sanding configuration to a sanding-only configuration.
Abstract:
A portable drum sander, including a base, a drum mounted for rotation on the base for carrying at least one grade of sand paper on a peripheral surface thereof, a feed table carried on the base and having a slot therein through which the drum is exposed for rotating contact with a workpiece to be sanded. The feed table includes an infeed table segment upstream of the slot and an outfeed table segment downstream of the slot for supporting the workpiece during passage over the slot in contact with the drum, and a pivot mounting the feed table adjacent a downstream end of the outfeed table segment for pivotal movement of the feed table to a desired height with reference to the drum. A height adjustment lock cooperates with the infeed table segment for locking the feed table into a locked position at the desired height with reference to the drum.
