    摘要: The invention relates to the machining of materials and can be used for removing flaws from various surfaces, particularly from housings, sheets and cast parts, as well as for removing coatings and rust. A lobed buffing wheel comprises lobes of a buffing material that includes an abrasive material on an elastic substrate, said lobes being fastened to a drive shaft. The lobes of buffing material are created from flat geometric shapes that are bent with the abrasive material facing outward to form a three-dimensional shape, and are fastened to the drive shaft by the bent fastening side. This provides for more efficient buffing of complex-shaped parts by increasing the area of contact between the buffing surfaces and the part.

    摘要: A structure for a backing plate of an abrasive disk is disclosed. The structure includes layers of abrasive resin interspersed with layers of reinforcing fiberglass. The layers are generally disk shaped and cover certain radial intervals of the entire backing plate between the inner diameter and the outer diameter. For example, a radial stress profile plotting the stress along a radial line from inner to outer diameter can be determined. The amount and radial positioning of reinforcing layers (e.g., reinforcing fiberglass) may then be determined. An appropriate amount of reinforcing layers may then be placed within the radial intervals that experience the highest stress.

Said plated grinding tool comprises a plurality of grinding plates arranged on the periphery and/or on the faces, and comprises a support body on which said grinding plates are fixed. The support body has at least one rotationally symmetric lateral surface on which the grinding plates are at least partially fixed.
