摘要: A vice (11) has two clamping jaws (15) for clamping workpieces. Between the clamping jaws (15), there is a tensioning device (18) for multi-part chuck heads that operates in a downward direction. Both the clamping jaws (15) and the tensioning device (18) are simultaneously activated by means of a single activation device (21, 30, 31, 37), wherein the activation device has two levers (21). On the one hand, these levers are pressed apart at one end, while on the other hand, they have a projection (24) that engages with a coupling pipe (25) for synchronized movement. The coupling pipe (25) is used to activate the tensioning device (18).

摘要: A workpiece is clamped to the table of a machine tool by a toggle clamp or edge clamp supported for rotation by the head portion of a stud threaded into a hole within a member secured to the table. The member may comprise a column or a column extender each having a frame with precisionly attached plates having X-Y grid patterns of alternating threaded holes and precision bores. A grid or base plate with an X-Y pattern of holes and bores may also receive an angle plate which also has an X-Y grid pattern of threaded holes and precision bores in addition to counterbores and precision angle positioning bores which receive pins for precisely locating the angle plate at a selected predetermined angle relative to the grid or base plate. The workpiece may also be secured to T-slot plates which are retained in precision locations on a base plate to define precision T-slots for receiving T-nuts. An adjustable radius locator system provides for precisely locating on the base plate a workpiece having two precision holes.

摘要: A hand tool for crimping a work piece by sliding jaw action is provided. The tool has a first handle which fixedly mounts a first jaw at one end thereof and slidably mounts a second jaw in a channel formed therein. A second handle is pivotally connected to the second jaw. A link is pivotally connected to both the first and second handle. A detent device, or piezo electric crystal and read out are provided in the structure to give either a release or a read out response responsive to the generation of a predetermined force load on a work piece.

摘要: A workpiece support structure includes a pair of elongated beams supported in transversely spaced parallel relation by first and second foldable leg structures. A first clamp mechanism on the first leg structure supports a first transversely extended guide member. A second transversely extended guide member is carried on a pair of trolley wheel clamps equipped with disengageable clutch mechanisms for fixing the trolley wheel clamps at selected positions on the beams. Thus the second guide member is longitudinally movable to engage a workpiece between the first and second guide members whereupon the first clamp mechanism is applied to clamp the workpiece therebetween. The disengageable clutches of the trolley wheel clamps are interconnected by a transverse actuator rod so that the clutches are easily simultaneously operated by one hand of a worker. A novel toggle clamp includes a slide block for slidably supporting the plunger thereof on the adjacent beam and a slack adjustment screw for limiting the release stroke of the clamp.

摘要: There is disclosed a clamping device primarily for clamping workpieces in production forming presses or other production tools which includes a toggle mechanism powered by an air cylinder or other power actuator and cooperating in tandem with a hand toggle mechanism; the hand toggle mechanism provides a short travel at a very high force for the moving one of a pair of clamping jaws. The hand toggle mechanism must be moved through its travel to a locked position to actuate the powered toggle mechanism and preferably a valve or other control for the power actuator is positioned to operate upon locking of the hand toggle mechanism. The hand toggle mechanism is spring biased to unlock and open after the locking force imparted by the power toggle mechanism has been released. The release of the power toggle mechanism is by a hand operated valve or a press operated valve so that manual opening of the clamping jaws is not required on the part of the operator.
