    摘要: An elongated blade (22) is mountable to a mounting assembly (29) of a portioning apparatus (10). The blade (22) uniformly tapers from the heel (70) to the tip (72) of the blade and is substantially straight along its entire length. The cutting edge (76) of the blade (22) extends substantially the full length of the lower edge of the blade and is of substantially constant profile. The heel end (78) of the blade is blunt, as is the spine (79) of the blade at the heel end, whereby compression forces are applied to these blunt surfaces by a blade holder (80) to secure the blade against the holder. An aperture (82) extends through the cheek portion (74) of the blade to engage with a pin or stud (116). The aperture (82) is held tightly against the pin or stud by a retainer (140), which is loadable against the holder (80), also causing the spine (79) of the blade to be pressed against the holder.

    摘要: A device for feeding address labels on a web with the address labels arranged in a column, each address label equal in size to adjacent address labels. There are non-addressed areas at equally spaced distances along the web, with the non-addressed areas separated by the address labels. There are two cutters placed after the web feeder. The first cutter operates after each increment of the web. The second cutter operates only after an increment of the web wherein the web is fed the distance of an address label plus the height of a non-addressed area. The non-addressed area is cut from the address label and removed, and the cut address label is affixed to the mail piece. The device provides for incrementing the web either a distance equal to an address label or a distance equal to an address label plus the height of a non-addressed area. The web feeding and cutting is synchronized with the application of the labels to the mail pieces, with the movement of the mail pieces through the web application area also synchronized with the web feeding and cutting.

    摘要: In a wrapping machine a strip bearing repetitively markings and marks is cut up into sections for individual wrapping of articles such as slabs of chocolate.It is desirable to have available a correction in both directions, which is accurate over a wide margin, to avoid restrictions on the printing of the strip, and to allow continuous forward travel and a high rhythm.Circuits (100-120) validate a mark detection signal (LECTREP) while eliminating interference and irrelevant signals and evaluate the phase shifts between this signal (LECTREP) and a synchronization signal (SYNCHR) depending upon the machine. They establish a correction limited to a certain maximum. The correction acts upon a motor (1) which drives the strip. The maximum is such that the cut section remains usable, which avoids interruption, and leaves an article wrapped in this defective section for later elimination.

Data is placed on the tape in the form of perforations on parallel longitudinal tracks or channels and the conventional tape advancing sprocket holes also carry data to both control the advancing of the stock material and to synchronize the advancing of the stock material and the advancing of the punched tape. Stock material is advanced only when a sprocket hole is present in the tape and the tape is advanced only when the stock material is operated on in accordance with the data on the tape.
