Abstract:
The invention provides for a package device for an elongate medical device. The device includes a conduit or tube arranged in a coiled configuration. At least one over-molded tubing connector is structured and arranged to maintain the coiled configuration. At least portions of adjacent curved sections of the coiled configuration not covered by the at least one over-molded tubing connector contains substantially no gap or spacing. A method making the device includes arranging a conduit or tube into a coiled configuration inside or within a mold and over-molding plural tubing connectors onto the coiled configuration.
Abstract:
In a sawing cord the three constituting elements of steel cord, sawing bead and sleeve polymer in between the beads must work optimally together. In order to improve the injection moulding quality the inventors disclose an injection mould wherein the injection channels inject polymer from opposite sides of the steel cord into the injection cavity. The injection mould comprises two half moulds that form the injection cavity when closed. Different preferred embodiments are described inclusive the use of channels having a tree structure, preferably a binary channel tree, preferably a balanced binary tree and most preferred a balanced binary tree with equal length pathways from feed channel to each injection channel. The use of heated channels is disclosed and the rules for balancing between the number of heated versus non-heated channels are explained. Furthermore the method to use such mould and the product resulting from the use of the mould are claimed.
Abstract:
A holder includes a body, the body having a first and second receiver and a first and second cylindrical holder. The holder further includes a tie comprised of an elongated piece of shape-retaining deformable material and a cover covering the shape-retaining deformable material along the length of the elongated piece. The covering and the shape-retaining deformable material are bonded along their length. A first portion of the tie passes through the first cylindrical holder. A second portion of the tie passes through the second cylindrical holder, such that a loop is formed between the body and the tie, stretching from the first cylindrical holder to the second cylindrical holder.
Abstract:
A lid (1) made of a thermoplastic material for covering an open upper end (42) of a container (40). The lid (1) comprising a lid body (10) with an opening (11) for dispensing and a pull cap (20) having a cap portion (21) to reclose the opening (11) and a pull tab portion (22) integrally formed with the cap portion(21). The opening (11) is covered by a gas-barrier film (23) sealed to a lower surface of the lid body (10). The cap portion (21) is sealed to the gas-barrier film (23) and a clearance (25) is provided between the opening (11) and the outer periphery (15) of the cap portion (21). A method of manufacturing the lid involves inserting the gas-barrier film into a mold cavity, injecting a thermoplastic resin into the cavity to form the lid body, while still warm the molding is removed. After removal, the molding can be thermally shaped along its periphery to form a flange (12) for mounting to a container.
Abstract:
A fastener for attaching a button or the like to a garment or piece of fabric is provided, the button having an outer surface and two or more holes. The fastener comprises a U-shaped filament, a first foot at one end of the filament, and a second foot at the opposite end of the filament. The fastener is constructed of plastic except for the filament or at least a portion thereof which is made of thread. The first foot and the second foot are appropriately dimensioned so as to be insertable through two holes in the button as well as through the garment in such a way as to be retained by the underside of the garment. The length of the portion of the filament made of thread is sized so that when the first and second feet of the fastener are inserted through the button holes and the garment, only thread is visible over the outer surface of the button so as to give the illusion that the button has been attached to the garment or piece of material using only thread. In one embodiment of the present invention, the first and second feet are in the shape of elongated bars perpendicular to the filament.
Abstract:
A belt providing continuous lining up of plastics components held in a plastics web whereby components successively presented to an assembly position are then separated and utilized, having at least one guide element provided on each component whereby the component is located and positioned at the assembly position prior to separation of the component.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing molded articles attached to a flexible web by molding the articles in the cavity of a mold which includes entrances for the web and elements for centering the web in the cavity. Structures are provided to trim waste from the molded article and automatically advance the web upon opening of the cavity. Elements are provided to separate articles with a predetermined length of web material attached.
Abstract:
A process is described which allows continuous flexible connectors to be produced, particularly for vehicles, provided with at least one stop element a flexible cable wound in a coil is stretched between two facing mould halves and clamped to lie between these; at least one attachment element of synthetic plastics material is hot formed onto the cable in such a way as to embed this and remain rigidly connected thereto; then the mould halves are separated expelling the element thus formed and the cable is advanced in such a way as to bring a new section of cable between the mould halves; finally, a segment of cable, provided with the attachment element, is cut from the flexible cable.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a pad for pressing a magnetic recording tape of a magnetic recording tape cassette against a magnetic head comprises steps of intermittently feeding a metal strip to a plastic injection mold, successively molding pad bodies on the metal strip by injection molding of synthetic resin, cutting the metal strip at the middle points between the pad bodies, and forming mounting portions for mounting the pad on the casing on opposite ends of the metal strip of each pad body-metal strip assembly thus obtained.
Abstract:
A disposable device for removing plaque and food debris from tooth surfaces, has a handle portion and a bow portion across which a length of dental floss is maintained, the floss, bow, and handle being an integral unit; and the method of manufacturing this complete device in essentially a single operation whereby the handle and bow are molded with the ends of the length of floss disposed and secured in ends of the bow during molding.
