The master roll 8a is fixed onto the belt table 14 by attraction when the master roll 8a is cut between the master roll table 10 and the belt table 14 and the belt table 14 is moved to the winding position of the sheet-like belt 8b while keeping the cut-out sheet-like belt 8b fixed onto the belt table 14 by attraction.

摘要： This invention pertains to a new method for manufacturing tires, an apparatus used with the new method and the article manufactured by the new method. The article is called the reinforced liquid elastomer tire (RLET). The method of manufacture includes placement of reinforcing materials inside a tire molding cavity and subsequently surrounding the reinforcement with a liquid elastomer which encapsulates the reinforcement and takes the outside shape of the tire mold. The liquid elastomer is solidified and the completed RLET is removed from the mold and ready for service.

摘要： A tubular and generally circular self-sealing tire body composite and method of making the same for use in the construction of tires (for example, radial) having at least a spliceless innerliner layer and a spliceless sealant layer. Desirably, the sealant layer is shorter than the innerliner layer and is centered with respect thereto. The tubular composite can be made by utilizing an innerliner stock and a sealant stock, forming layers therefrom and contiguously contacting said layers to form a contiguous, tubular and generally circular article for subsequent use in building a tire. Additionally, a ply stock may be used, formed into a layer with cord incorporated therein, and contiguously applied to said innerliner layer.

The pneumatic tire includes: (i) a region including or near a position having a tire maximum width, which region includes a radial region where cords constituting the carcass layers are arranged at an angle of 90±10° with respect to a circumferential direction; (ii) a region between the radial region and one of the beads close thereto, which region includes a bias region where cords in an upper layer and cords in a lower layer constituting the carcass intersect and are both arranged at an angle of 10° to 60° with respect to the circumferential direction; and (iii) a region between the radial region and a tire equator line, which region includes another bias region.

摘要： Carcass plies for radial-ply tires are prepared by coating individual reinforcing strands with a rubber composition, and winding the coated strands in a winding machine with relatively weak transverse circumferential strands into a continuous cylindrical tube in which the reinforcing strands are substantially parallel to the tube axis and circumferentially spaced, and are connected by the circumferential strands of weaker material. Axial sections are cut from the tube, and only the axially central, annular portion of each section is expanded radially during shaping of the carcass, thereby stretching or breaking the transverse, circumferential strands.
