Abstract:
A compacting apparatus (1) for compacting receptacles has a compacting unit (3) with at least one first advancing device (4) for transporting at least one receptacle (G) in an insertion direction (E). The compacting unit (3) is configured to compact the receptacle (G) while the receptacle (G) is transported in the insertion direction (E). A post-compacting unit (5) is downstream of the compacting unit (3) in the insertion direction (E) and has at least one second advancing device (6) for transporting the at least one receptacle (G) through the post-compacting unit (5). The post-compacting unit (5) is configured to compact the at least one receptacle (G) further. Positions of the at least one first advancing device (4) of the compacting unit (3) and the at least one second advancing device (6) of the post-compacting unit (5) are changeable with respect to one another in the insertion direction (E).
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a frameless high pressure press. The high pressure press includes first and second opposed plates that are at least partially surrounded by a wrapping structure. A lift device is positioned on one of the first and second plates at a location offset from the wrapping structure. The press also includes a linkage structure that transfers force generated by the lift device to the wrapping structure such that the wrapping structure forces the plates together. The linkage structure includes a tensioning member connected to the wrapping structure and generally transversely aligned with respect to the plates. The linkage structure also includes a cross member that extends between the lift device and the tensioning mechanism. The length of the tensioning member can be adjusted to control the level of force multiplication generated by the press. Also, the tensioning member is pivotally connected to both the wrapping structure and the cross member to prevent side loading of the lift device.
Abstract:
A high pressure press is made without the need for a press frame by wrapping the press plates with a belt. A raising device is located between the plates and the belt, and closes the plates by transmission of force to the belt, which in turn acts upon the plates.
Abstract:
A residue-compacting container with disinfection system is described that includes a vertically displaceable structure, a lid and a bag, the structure comprising a chassis internally supporting a sealed container and has, vertically fixed on both sides, a lower lateral structure; two lower lateral structures, each formed by cylinders, a steel cable, a spring and a telescopic pipe; two upper lateral structures with a handle; and a sealed container formed by a lower cylindrical body and an upper cylindrical body; the container lid is located over the chassis and moves along the two upper lateral structures, has a hermetic sealing resin and contains mechanical elements for sterilizing and compacting the residues contained inside a bag, which is located inside the sealed container.
Abstract:
A toilet for use on a space vehicle has a toilet bowl having a storage canister at a remote end for receiving human waste. The compactor includes a cable connected to a lever which pulls the cable in a direction forcing the compactor into the storage canister to compact the captured waste when the lever is actuated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for working sheet-like material, such as a press brake for bending steel sheet. The device includes: a frame; two, relative to each other movable, substantially parallel beams for working the sheet-like material, which beams are connected to the frame; driving means for driving the substantially parallel beams away or towards each other; at least one spring means, connected at a horizontal position along said beams for urging the beams away from each other; wherein the spring means have a spring constant that is adjustable.
Abstract:
Molding press apparatus (20) for simultaneously operating a plurality of molds (M) having multiple mold parts (M1, M2) including, a framework (25), first and second platen assemblies (U,L) supported by the framework for carrying the mold parts of the molds, a third platen assembly (I) interposed between the first and second platen assemblies for mounting mating mold parts in opposed relation to the mold parts carried by the first and second platen assemblies, a drive assembly (80) for simultaneously moving the first and second platen assemblies relative to the third platen assembly for opening and closing the molds. Loading and unloading apparatus (150) may be provided for simultaneously transporting preformed fiber reinforcements (R) to the molds and for transporting molded parts (P) away from the molds associated with the platen assemblies.
Abstract:
A LOW-COST, HIGH-SPEED PRESS FOR MOLDING PLASTIC ARTICLES HAVING A MOVABLE UPPER PLATEN AND A FIXED LOWER PLATEN WITH OPPOSED MATCHING DIES ATTACHED THERETO. THE UPPER PLATEN IS MOVED BETWEEN A REMOTE UPPER POSTITION TO A LOWER MOLDING POSITION AT HIGH SPEED BY A MOTOR-DRIVEN SUSPENSION SYSTEM. WHEN THE UPPER PLATEN IS IN THE LOWER MOLDING POSITION, A PLURALITY OF PLATEN STOPS ARE MOVED INTO LOCKING PLATEN AND MOLDING FORCE IS APPLIED BY MEANS THE UPPER PLATEN AND MOLDING FORCE IS APPLIED BY MEANS OF A FLUID-FILLED PRESSURE BAG POSITIONED BETWEEN THE DIE PLATES AND ONE OF THE PLATENS. THE PLATENS STOPS ARE ADJUSTABLE IN HEIGHT TO COMPENSTATE FOR VARIABLE HEIGHTS IN THE DIES USED WITH THE PRESS AND VERTICAL PLATEN GUIDES ASSURE MOLD ALIGNMENT THROUGHOUT THE RANGE OF MOVEMENT BY THE UPPER PLATEN.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel device to manufacture polyurethane foam boards used in structurally insulated panel known as insulated building material press. The press enables the application of pressure across a large area while foaming and curing polyurethane under pressure, curing glue or otherwise bonding materials into a finished product or to form multiple panels in a single press at the same time. The building material press can be used to manufacture multiple structurally insulated panels simultaneously. The press is mobile and can be transported by means of a vehicle to a remote location.
