Abstract:
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a new paper shopper or bag (B) and a system for the manufacture thereof, said bag comprising a folded and glued sheet (P), two handles (M, N) placed in proximity to two opposite edges (F1) of said sheet (P), forming the upper edges (B1) of said bag (B), said sheet (P) being folded along at least one line (A), transversal to the longitudinal axis (Bx) joining said handles (M, N), said line (A) forming the continuous and jointless bottom (B3), and wherein the lateral edges (F2) of said sheet (P) are coupled in such a way as to obtain the two vertical closed sides (B4) of the bag (B). Said system comprises a station (1) for unwinding a continuous sheet (F) according to an advance direction (X), and each bag (B), before the cutting operation (11) that separates the individual bags, is arranged with its main longitudinal axis (Bx) placed transversally with respect to said advance direction (X).
Abstract:
A side-gusset bag has face panels each having a pair of side edges. Two respective side gussets are each connected between a respective one of the side edges of one of the face panels and a respective one of the side edges of the other face panel. The face panels and side gussets together form a bag body formed along each of the side edges flanking one of the gussets with at least one slot. Two respective carry handles each have a middle section outside the body and a pair of ends extending through a respective one of the slots with the two carry handles at least generally aligned with each other. Welds secure each of the ends inside the body to the respective side gusset and close the slots around the ends.
